Family Days – share yours

July 12, 2013 by Gretta Schifano 14 Comments

Family Days. Copyright Gretta Schifano

This is a weekly Linky to share your posts on family days out with children. If you’ve had a good day out with the kids recently then please tell all, we’d love to read about it and may even want to go there too! From the lovely park up the road to somewhere fab you’ve found on your annual family holiday to a particular stretch of beach or countryside which your kids love, it doesn’t matter where it is: if it worked for your family, then we’d love to hear about it. There’s a Family Days Linky for you at the end of this post, or you can write in the Comments section below.

I’m looking forward to spending more time with the children in the school holidays, free from the term time routine. I’m at home at the moment recovering from surgery and have been enjoying reading blog posts about other people’s family days out while planning our own.

I loved the post about the mother and daughter foraging expedition at Thinly Spread – the recipe for elderflower cordial looks like something really fun to make with kids too. Meanwhile Northern Mum found her trip to a wind tunnel with her three year-old daughter BB very emotional. (Northern Mum has particular reasons for feeling emotional but I also found it hard to watch when my teen went indoor skydiving recently, even though I’d just done it myself). Mammasaurus and Ozzy enjoyed their day at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, and reading about it has made me want to go back there for a visit. Everything got pretty messy at the park when Crazy With Twins headed out for a picnic with her one year-old twins in tow. Sun cream and food and food and sun cream all over the place – but at least the weather was warm!

Have you had a good day out with your kids recently? Join in with the Family Days Linky below and inspire the rest of us. The Linky will close on Thursday evening and then another will open next Friday. This is how to take part:

1. Write a post about a family day out that you’d recommend, or find a relevant post you’ve already written.

2. In your post include a link to this Family Days post so that your readers can be inspired by everyone else.

3. Enter your post on the Linky below.

Love this idea. Great to check back when we’re stuck for places to visit. Linked up our fleeting visit to Blenheim Palace.

Lovely idea, thank you. We have linked to Robert’s first ever solo post, on Cadbury World, which we only visited a few weeks ago. It was great.
