First Great Western train ticket competition

The remote Isles of Scilly consist of a scattering of jagged rocks, reefs and small islands, only five of which are inhabited. This beautiful English archipelago sits 28 miles southwest of Cornwall and is home to about 2,200 people.

I’ve never been there but have wanted to visit the Isles of Scilly ever since I read a lovely travel feature about them in the Guardian. The islands enjoy a balmy climate, washed by the Gulf stream. The beaches sound gorgeous, with many mentions of white sand and turquoise sea. All of the islands except St. Mary’s, the biggest, are car free, there’s virtually no crime there and the Duchy of Cornwall has protected the Isles of Scilly from over-development. What’s not to like?

If you’d like to win first class train tickets to the Isles of Scilly or another First Great Western destination (places such as Cornwall, London, South Devon, Bath, the Cotswolds, Cardiff and Bristol) then I’ve found a great competition for you which is really easy to enter.

Good luck!
