Win a ski holiday to Austria

I can see why the Austrian Tirol is known as a great ski destination for families. It’s a beautiful, safe area with plenty to do and see and has an excellent infrastructure. The architecture is chocolate box pretty and the cuisine is easy for children to enjoy. It’s simple to get to either by flying to Innsbruck or even driving – as long as you’re up for a journey of around ten hours from Calais.

Wilder Kaiser adventure parks

I went to Austria for the first time last May and really enjoyed the trip. My son and I went to the Wilder Kaiser region of the Tirol and had a great time exploring the wonderful, free mountainside play areas that are set up there every summer once the snow has gone. These adventure parks are a fantastic way to get children into the mountains and they help bring year-round business to the cable cars and nearby restaurants.

Skiing in the Austrian Tirol

I’d love to go back to the Tirol for a family ski trip. It has a whole load of different ski resorts to choose from – in fact there seems to be a ski lift and ski school in every village. The hotels are all geared up to help skiers refuel and relax, with many offering heated pools and spas. We found it really easy to get around using the efficient bus system which is free to guests at many hotels.

Competition

Cosmos (who are sponsoring this post) are running a competition on Facebook at the moment to win either a ski holiday to Austria or a beach holiday to Sharm el Sheikh. I’ve entered to win the ski trip. If you’d like to enter to then just click here.

Good luck – and let me know if you win!

This post is sponsored by Cosmos Holidays Ltd. The competition has now closed.
