Would you like some help to research, plan and book your trips? Would you like to have financial protection for your travel bookings? If the answer to either (or both) of these questions is ‘yes’, then do read on because I may be able to help you.

Truly Yours Holidays

Mums do travel is now linked with independent travel agent Julia Onslow-Cole at Truly Yours Holidays as a travel partner. Truly Yours Holidays is part of Hays Travel, which is the UK’s largest independent travel agency. The agency isn’t tied to any particular airline or tour operator, and therefore Julia can help you to find the best travel option for you and your family from a vast range of possibilities. Julia (and Hays Travel) works with all of the airlines and well-known travel companies, including Kuoni, Thomas Cook, Sovereign, Citalia, Hayes & Jarvis and Mark Warner, as well as a wide range of smaller companies.

Julia has 15 years of experience as working as a travel agent, and can help you to book package holidays, accommodation, flights, cruises, car hire, excursions, parking and anything else that you need for your holiday. If you’re not sure where to go on holiday, Julia can help with ideas and can even put together an e-book proposal for you.

Booking through a travel agent

There are two main advantages to booking through a travel agent such as Julia:

  1. A travel agent will save you time. It’s not difficult for most of us to book online flights, accommodation and everything else that we need. The problem is that it can take a lot of time to find the right options and the best deal for your personal situation. If you don’t have time to spare for this task, or if you’d rather let someone else do this work for you, a travel agent can help (and may even save you money).
  2. If you book through Julia (or another registered travel agent), you will be covered by both ATOL and ABTA protection. This means that if your travel company goes out of business you can continue with your holiday as planned or be reimbursed. If you book direct with a scheduled airline you don’t have ATOL or ABTA protection, and many online booking sites don’t offer this cover either.

Pricing

Truly Yours Holidays has access to the latest travel offers and discounts and Julia says that she can usually match or beat other online prices.

Find out more

To discuss your travel plans call Julia at Truly Yours Holidays on +44 (0)3330 113388 or go to the website – and do mention that you found the details here at Mums do travel (if you make a booking with Julia I will receive a very small commission).

Happy travels – and, if you do make a booking, be sure to let me know where you’re off to and how it goes!

Over to you

Do you use a travel agent to book your trips or do you prefer to sort everything out yourself?

I really appreciate this information on the benefits of hiring a travel agent. I like that this explains that one of the most important things a travel agent will save you is time. They know how the systems work, and they can take care of all the details for you. My fiance and I are planning our honey moon and it sounds like we need to find a travel agent. Thanks for the information!

Whenever we have gone abroad we’ve always used a travel agent. It’s just so much simpler to have everything sorted together.

a great idea! i don’t have a travel agent anymore because so many of them are affiliated with just the people they work with. A good independent travel agent is like gold dust!
