Family RV trips: the lowdown

Moya Slade

Lifestyle photographer Moya Slade lives in Surrey, in the South of England, with her husband and their son and daughter. I went to meet Moya to find about about their family RV holiday on the USA’s West coast.

RVs

In case you don’t know, RV stands for Recreational Vehicle (otherwise known as a motorhome) and in the US they’re big(!) business. According to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association, there are more than 12,000 RV-related businesses in the US, with combined revenues of more than $37.5 billion dollars, employing more than 250,000 people. Renting an RV isn’t a budget option, but it offers flexibility and a great experience.

My family and I used to travel around Europe in a VW camper van when I was a child, and I was interested to find out how Moya’s trip went. Moya and her family had never been on an RV trip before, but it sounds like the holiday was a great success. Watch the video to find out more:

Over to you

Have you ever been on a holiday in a motorhome, or RV? Is it something which you’d like to try?
