Best family resorts in Spain #ad

February 27, 2019 by Gretta Schifano 2 Comments

Spain is Europe’s sunniest country, and is a great destination for a family holiday. Its beach resorts are a draw during the summer months, both on the mainland and in the Balearic and Canary island archipelagos. Spain is also home to vibrant cities and spectacular mountain ranges, and is a good option for winter sports trips. I travelled around mainland Spain while working there as an English teacher in my twenties, and I’ve spent many enjoyable holidays in various parts of the country since, both with and without kids. So when BritMums asked me to write a post for them about the best family resorts in Spain, I was happy to agree.

La Manga Club

Our most recent family holiday to Spain was a couple of summers ago, when we spent two weeks at La Manga Club, a luxury coastal resort in Murcia. My husband, our two kids (18 and 14 at the time) and our son’s friend (also 14) stayed in a townhouse at the resort and it worked very well for us. La Manga Club has fantastic sports facilities, which kept the two boys busy, our daughter was happy to spend most of her time at the pool, and my husband and I were able to explore interesting places like Cartagena when we needed a break from relaxing. You can read all about our stay in my post What’s it like to stay at La Manga Club?

Best family resorts in Spain

In my post for BritMums (which you can read by clicking here: Best family resorts in Spain) I’ve included some places which I’ve visited, as well as a range of resorts which are recommended by fellow travel bloggers. There are places featured in different parts of the mainland, as well as in the Canaries and the Balearic islands. There are destinations for winter as well as summer trips, and to suit a range of budgets. If you’re looking for a family-friendly resort in Spain, do pop over to read the post in full.
