I have some very exciting news – I’d like to introduce you to Armchair Travels!
What is Armchair Travels?
Armchair Travels is a brand new shiny website, and it’s designed to help you to explore the world without leaving home. It’s now possible to experience – in a virtual way – all manner of incredible, fascinating and exhilarating places and sites, as long as you have internet access. From white sandy beaches to crisp white ski pistes, from museum and gallery tours to swimming with sea lions, the possibilities of online travel are truly endless – and they’re waiting for you, right now!
I’ve got together with four fellow journalists, Cathy Winston, Kirstie Pelling, Nichola West and Ting Dalton, to bring you Armchair Travels. Each of us has our own travel blog (you can find out more about who we are here).
Right now we’re all at home in the UK in lockdown because of COVID-19. Usually we write about our own travel experiences, and we’re constantly planning or dreaming about our next trips. So now, although we’re unable travel, we’re still thinking about it constantly, and also about our friends and colleagues in the travel industry. Armchair Travels is our way of sharing the world’s travel dreams, even when we can’t actually go anywhere.

Over to you
We’re aiming to publish five posts a week if we can – do let us know if there’s anything that you’d like us to write about, and also what you think about the new site. Of course I’ll still be writing posts right here on Mums do travel too. Thank you for your support, and I hope that you and your family and friends are all safe and well.
something I havn’t heard of before… thanks for sharing, I’m putting into my contact list 🙂
