It’s Plan A Cruise Month, and I’ve been asked to find out what you think about cruises.
I went on my first (and, so far, only) cruise a couple of years ago with my daughter. I wasn’t sure whether or not I’d enjoy the trip, as I generally prefer to travel independently, I don’t like being with crowds of people, and I feel sea sick on the ferry from Dover to Calais. To my surprise, I really enjoyed the experience, and would definitely recommend it. We went on a one-week cruise of the Eastern Mediterranean, and it was great. I didn’t feel sea sick once, we went to some fabulous places, and I could never tire of watching the constantly changing view from our cabin. If you’d like to know more about our trip, check out my post Cruising for beginners which I wrote on board the ship.
Family cruise poll
But what do you think about cruises? Have you ever been on one? If not, would you like to go on one? I’ve put together a very short (three questions in total) questionnaire to find out what you think – I’d love it if you could spare a minute to fill it in:
Thanks very much!
Plan a Cruise Month
October is the Cruise Lines International Association’s (CLIA for short) Plan a Cruise Month. There’s a different theme each week: Family-Friendly, Discovery, River and Luxury, and you can follow along (and join in) on Twitter by looking out for the #CruiseMonth hashtag.
Disclosure: I’m working with the CLIA to raise awareness of cruise holidays.
