If you’re looking to get a genuine taste of Venice beyond its iconic sights, this Cicchetti Street Food and Sightseeing Tour offers a delightful way to do just that. Hosted by Bea Tours, this 2.5-hour guided walk takes you through some of Venice’s most vibrant neighborhoods, giving you the chance to sample authentic local delicacies, explore bustling markets, and uncover hidden Bàcari—the city’s traditional tapas bars.

Two things we particularly like about this experience are how it combines food and culture seamlessly—not just stuffing your face but learning about Venice’s culinary traditions from a native guide—and how it takes you to some off-the-beaten-path spots that you might miss on your own.

That said, if you’re not keen on walking quite a bit or if you’re looking for a more comprehensive sit-down meal, this might not be the perfect fit.

Great tour. Even though it was really cold that night, Vanessa kept us really entertained with stories. Knows her stuff about food, history and more as she is a local. It was the first activity we did when we arrived and a great way to see the city.

Gary
Our tour was extremely good. Our Guide, Tone, took us to the Rialto Bridge and the fish market there. At a local restaurant and wine bar we tested sandwiches and the local wines. I had to avoid some of the seafood that I had allergies for, but there were plenty of choices for everyone. All of them were very good! Tone then took us to five other restaurants and wine bars for more excellent food and wines. One of the wine bars had been in existence since at least the year of 1460. One of their patrons was Casanova, the famous Ladies man. There is more to that story, but you will have to take the tour to learn the rest! Tone was also excellent on the history of Venice. I learned a lot about the…

Vanessa was a wonderful guide, really knowledgeable and interesting and happy to answer any questions. All the stops were delicious and I felt we went to some genuine local places. I returned to a few the next evening and received really friendly service and good value food/drinks which I think is a sign that it was a very good food tour. I did the tour in January, there were a mix of indoor and outdoor stops, and toilets at a few of them.

The tour guide was excellent. The places we went through we would not have known existed. Great experience. Would recommend.
