Toni
Gallipoli was informative and deeply moving, largely thanks to our brilliant guide Hassan and terrific driver (who’s name I unfortunately missed-sorry!) i realised how little I actually knew about the Dardanelles campaign and battlefield stories beyond the important but simplified lessons learnt in school. Standing above the beaches and ridgelines makes it so much clearer. Troy was also enjoyable but try to include s visit to the museum first as it puts the ruins in context. Hotel Artur was very comfortable – great beds, brilliant sunset view from our balcony. My only criticism would be the long trip back to Istanbul in a jampacked minibus, whch was incredibly uncomfortable.

This tour was excellent- well organised and worth the cost. Our guides Baruk (Gallipoli) & Charlie (Troy) were knowledgeable and very entertaining. Baruk especially has a great grasp of Aussies slang and can be hilarious. Charlie was also a great guide full of facts delivered in an easily understandable way. Our provided accommodation at Hotel Artur was also excellent..much better than I was expecting to be honest Overall I would recommend this tour to anyone wishing to visit Gallipoli and/or Troy it is so worth it.
Angie
Crowded House Tours exceeded our expectations. From the moment we were picked up from our hotel to being dropped off, we were well looked after. The guides were so informative and supportive of why we were there. Our guide Bulant was fantastic for the Gallipoli tour and we felt like they embraced the ANZAC’S like their own. At no time did we feel like a “them and us” when talking about the Gallipoli Campaign. They were very knowledgeable and the stories were interesting. They gave us space and time to view each location and we would not have had the same experience if we just walked those places without the guides. Our guide Cindy was very engaging throughout the Troy tour and made the…

Two things we genuinely appreciate? First, the guides who bring the stories alive with passion and insight. Second, the well-organized logistics, which make the long days more manageable and allow you to focus on the sites. On the flip side, a possible drawback is the length of the return trip—some find it pretty tiring, especially in a packed minibus.

Still, if history, culture, and scenic views are your priority, this tour hits the mark. It’s best suited for those who want a comprehensive, guided experience without the stress of navigating themselves.

Our guide Ibo was excellent like a walking encyclopedia we very much enjoyed the experience and would recommend this tour.
Amanda
Outstanding tour and am very pleased to have done the overnight option. Burak for the Gallipoli tour was outstanding, as was Cindy who took us on the Troy tour. As a military officer, to see Gallipoli was a bucket list experience . Crowded House tours were exceptional with their communication. They picked me up from my hotel and were able to drop me off at my alternate accommodation on return. Brilliant organisation. Thanks to all for making this part of my holiday truly memorable.

Our guide Hassan was an absolute asset to this trip. He bought the Gallipoli experience alive. His photo resources added immensely to the experience. His knowledge is extensive and he gave both sides of the story. As a history teacher I found his insights invaluable and will add them to my teaching of the topic. The final touch of listening to the song 'And the band played Waltzing Matilda' really finished of the emotion- filled day.

Two wonderful days exploring history with outstanding tour guides on both days. It was brilliant to get such a perspective on the "Gallipoli" war of 1915 from such a well informed tour guide. Our tour of Troy was of the same standard.

Filanthi
This tour was better than expected. The bus trip was comfortable and not too many people on the bus. Our guide for Gallipoli was excellent and very knowledgeable. The hotel accommodation was very good. Room was clean and comfortable. The only problem with the room was it was next to a bar and the music was really loud. We were so tired we had no problem with it. The Troy tour was fantastic. Our guide was knowledgeable and explained everything to detail. Bus trip was great and comfortable. Highly recommend this tour.
William
We had the best guides, who explained the history really well. Highly recommend will definitely do it again.
