Istanbul: Bosphorus Dinner Cruise with Drinks & Turkish Show — A Practical Review

If you’re considering a Bosphorus dinner cruise in Istanbul, you’re probably looking for a combination of stunning city views, cultural entertainment, and good food—all at a reasonable price. We’ve looked into this experience from various angles, and while it’s not a perfect match for everyone, it offers quite a bit of value for those wanting a memorable night on the water.

Two things we really like about this cruise are the views of Istanbul’s iconic skyline—including palaces, castles, and towers—and the lively cultural shows, featuring whirling dervishes, belly dancers, and folk dances. These performances add a genuine touch of Turkish hospitality and tradition.

AMAZING !!!! I can only say good things about this cruise !! The food was great: starter dish, main course (meat, fish or chicken) dessert, tea and drinks !!! The waiters were super friendly and kind !!! And I didn’t expect the music at the end but I had a blast !!!!! We danced a lot !!!! 5 stars !!!!!!!

I really enjoyed the activity. There were a lot of dances in the program so I’d say the content of the night show was really rich. I only think the dancers couldve done a better job positioning themselves while dancing because they were turned to one side most of the time which means people on the other side didn’t have as good of a view ( they would see their backs ). So the seat mattered basically, but only for certain dances this was the case, for others the view was equally good. The food was also amazing, there was an appetizer, three choices for main dish and a baklava for a desert. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it, great value for money….

We were picked up at our hotel in Istanbul and were driven to the boats, once on the boat the appetizer was already there. Once the boat took off we were asked which main meal we were having and which drinks we wanted. The entertainment consisted of traditional dancing, belly dancing, and live entertainment by the MC . I recommend the fish as a main meal. The view of the bridge at night is awesome. Not much information was given about the bridge itself, we would have liked to know more. Other than that we had a great time. Ask your driver to drop you back at hotel….

One potential consideration is that the food quality varies—some reviews mention tasteless dishes—so if gourmet cuisine is your priority, this might not be the top choice.

This experience is best suited for travelers who enjoy relaxing evenings with entertainment, want to see the city from the water, and appreciate cultural performances. It’s a popular pick for those on a budget but still seeking an authentic and fun experience. If you’re traveling with friends or want a lively, social atmosphere, this cruise can deliver.

For £29 – good value for money since the Turkish Lira is under recession. There is a tendency to cram in 200 people in the middle level of the boat leaving a 4ftx4ft space in the middle for the dancers. The three course meal isn't the greatest (starters are usually the best in Turkey) but again for the price good. You can go upto the top tier and take pictures but no stoppages which is fine. Overall acceptable value for money especially since Get Your Guide / Viator etc rake in 25% from the top. TIP: Try to go 60 minutes prior to departure time if you want a table closer to the middle. Also these Get Your Guide prices are much cheaper than the touts you find who quote $50!…
