This guided e-bike tour promises a quick yet comprehensive look at the city’s most iconic sights, great for travelers who want a taste of Porto without exhausting themselves climbing hills or navigating busy streets on foot.

What we really love about this tour is its balance: it’s short enough to fit into a busy schedule, yet packed with highlights and local insights. Plus, the electric bikes really make exploring Porto’s hilly terrain a breeze, turning what might seem like a strenuous activity into pure fun.

On the flip side, one thing to keep in mind is that this tour isn’t suited for travelers with mobility issues or those who aren’t comfortable riding bikes. Still, for most visitors, it’s a surprisingly accessible way to get around.

Sophia was wonderful and gave us so much history. She was very kind and did a great job explaining the history and locations. Very hilly and the e-bike was great. Thank you

Great Tour with Fatmir! We crossed the bridge to Gaia and back to Porto. Fatmir explained the 3 hills of Porto and pointed out the major places to visit. I have been on many e- bike tours and a reminder that you should be an experienced bike rider. Most of the time you will be sharing the road with traffic and you need to be confident on a bike.
Rachael
FATMIR was the absolute best and most thorough guide we have had in all of Portugal! He gave us history, architecture, royal families, topography, food, art and wine! He was so helpful setting the route for our entire time in Porto. We felt so safe and secure on our bikes in the city and he showed us many surprises! We loved this tour and all that Fatmir shared with us. I would highly recommend not only this tour but Fatmir as your guide!

Next, you’ll explore Praça de Gomes Teixeira, a lively square surrounded by stunning architecture, before heading to the world-famous Livraria Lello — often called one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. Its ornate interior transports you to a fairy tale.

From there, the tour passes along Avenida dos Aliados, lined with historic buildings and bustling cafes, leading you to the Porto Cathedral, one of the oldest and most revered religious sites in the city.

Finally, you’ll cross the Dom Luís I Bridge — an engineering marvel with breathtaking views of the Douro River — and finish the tour back at your starting point.

What Makes Each Stop Special

  • Cordoaria Garden: A tranquil spot that offers a contrast to Porto’s busy streets. It’s also a good point to appreciate the city’s blend of green spaces and urban life.
  • Clérigos Tower: Climbing is optional, but from the top, you’ll get a sweeping view of Porto’s rooftops and riverbanks.
  • Praça de Gomes Teixeira: A vibrant square that captures the local atmosphere and architectural beauty.
  • Livraria Lello: A must-see for book lovers and those who appreciate incredible design—standing inside feels like stepping into a fantasy world.
  • Avenida dos Aliados: The heart of Porto’s civic life, with grand buildings and cafes great for a quick rest.
  • Porto Cathedral: A symbol of Porto’s history, with a mix of Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque architecture.
  • Dom Luís I Bridge: The iconic double-deck bridge that offers spectacular views of the river and cityscape.

We loved the way the guides bring Porto’s story to life with interesting stories, not just dry facts. One reviewer shared that their guide, Alexandre, “told interesting stories of the past, bringing the history of Porto to life, and mixed it with fun facts about Harry Potter, architecture, and culture.” That kind of personal touch makes the experience engaging and memorable.

Jonas was just the best guide we could have got in porto ! Absolutely recommend to try this out
Salimata
This activity is perfect to discover port and learn about the city.
Mirambika
If it is your first time in Porto, then this activity is an absolute MUST. The e bike is extremely convenient to travel up and down the narrowest streets of the city and immerse yourself in its history. But the best part was our guide – João, who was very knowledgeable, friendly and found the best viewpoints! He also gave us a map marked with the best restaurants, must visit underrated spots and remarkable suggestions on exploring portugal beyond porto.

Because the bikes are electric, you won’t need to worry about Porto’s hills. This is especially handy in a city famous for its elevation changes. Several reviews mention how beginners or those who felt unsure about riding bikes found the electric assistance reassuring.

One noted, “Romen, our guide, was wonderful. We had not ridden electric bikes before and they were so good getting around this hilly city. Very easy to use.”

The tour is designed to be accessible and safe, with guides attentive to the group’s needs. It’s suitable for most people, provided they are comfortable on a bike and meet the weight and height restrictions. The group size is small or private options are available, which makes for a more personalized experience.

We saw places that we would never have found on our own. We felt safe at all times, even though for us the traffic was manic. Our guide was knowledgeable.
Ricardo
Even though the rain was pouring down and I ended up completely drenched, the tour was an absolute highlight of my trip. Our guide Rodrigo was exceptionally friendly, well-educated, and full of fascinating stories about Porto’s history and culture. He led us to some truly beautiful hidden spots and made the entire experience both insightful and great fun despite the weather. I can highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Porto!
Cathy
What a fabulous experience and a great way to see / feel the highlights of Porto. Our guide Rodrigo Festas is so knowledgeable and has a true passion for the history of his beloved town. A self confessed Porto Geek.. but we all loved it. He also shared his top tips for us to use going forward. Despite a heavy shower, it did not detract from the trip so please do not let the weather put you off. The e-bikes are excellent so no real fitness required (but turn on to Eco and have a decent workout!) We would def do again. 10/10
