If you’re planning a visit to Tenerife and looking for a unique way to explore the ocean without the fuss of diving or swimming, the Sea Trek helmet walk in Los Cristianos might just be what you need.
While I haven’t personally taken this tour, the glowing reviews and detailed descriptions make it clear that it’s a well-loved activity for those wanting a safe, accessible, and visually stunning underwater adventure. Plus, with a very high rating of 5 out of 5 from over 90 reviews, it’s worth considering.
What really stands out about this experience is how it allows you to breathe normally while walking on the seabed. No need for prior experience or a diving license — which makes it perfect for anyone curious about the underwater world but hesitant to try traditional scuba.
Our experience with the Sea Trek Underwater Walk in Tenerife was nothing short of amazing! If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to walk on the moon, this is the closest you’ll get just with much better scenery and plenty of fish. The lads were absolutely brilliant. They looked after us every step of the way, making sure we felt safe, comfortable, and confident underwater. My daughter had the most incredible time. Seeing her face light up through the helmet as she explored the ocean floor was priceless holding a sea urchin and seeing the seahorse
What a great experience with two excellent guides. Matt and Rasta made us all feel at ease. A must do activity. The Greaves family
Could not recommend this activity more! Our instructors, Rasta and Mathias, were very informative as they prepared us for what to expect in the sea trek and created a calm yet exciting space for us as no one in our group had ever done something like this before. The actual activity was breathtaking (despite being able to breathe as well underwater as above on land). Being on the sea floor and surrounded by so many fish was a magical experience made better by the photos and videos that our instructors took to commemorate the moment. We emerged out of the water wishing we could spend another 25 minutes with the sea life and excited to do something like this again.
Two things I particularly liked reading about this tour are the personalized attention from guides and the opportunity for all ages and fitness levels to get a glimpse of Tenerife’s vibrant marine life.
On the flip side, a note of caution is that the location’s parking can be challenging and arriving early is recommended, especially if you’re relying on on-street parking.
This experience suits a wide range of travelers — from families with kids (as young as 8) to older adults and those with a bit of nerves about the water. If you enjoy easy, safe adventures that still deliver impressive views, this tour might just be your new favorite activity in Tenerife.
