Antelope Canyon has been the most exotic experience. The drive from Grand Canyons to Antelope Canyons is like driving on Mars or Saturn, ie totally other worldly. The tour service we received from the tour operator, esp our tour guide, was genuine, authentic and amazing. In a small group tour, she brought us to different canyons and sites and explained in simple visual terms how the canyons were created through millions of years of earth, atmospheric and water interactions and reactions. We had great experience and I will not hesitate at all to recommend this tour to adventure seekers. It is worth a lifetime.

Also, in our opinion this may actually be a better option compared to the oversubscribed upper and lower canyon tours. The guides have extensive knowledge of the area and they are very friendly. No restrictions on photography for tours during the daytime. Also, there are lesser number of tourists compared to the other more conventional tours which allows for a more personalized experience. We would highly recommend it.

I’ve been on quite a few tours, and this one was one of the best. I traveled with my 2 kids (8 and 9) and my parents. Ron was our tour guide and was an amazing host. He graciously shared the Navajo culture with us and gave us all real life experiences to rewrite history. This ended up being a private tour and we weren’t rushed at all through the canyon. We have beautiful pictures from our experience. Highly recommend for all ages, and would come back if I travel this area again.

Each tour will take you to their own canyon which their family owns. Not all canyons are same. Some are more picturesque than the other. Not all tours are same, some are more commercialized than the others. Pros: Small group of 6, intimate experience. Does not feel rushed at all, you have plenty of time to walk around and speak to guide and ask questions. Cons: Not as picturesque as the lower canyons which I’ve also seen. If you are going first time, I’d recommend going to lower canyons.
