If you’re dreaming of Australia’s iconic coastline, a day trip down the Great Ocean Road might be just what you need. This tour promises a relaxed, immersive experience with a knowledgeable guide, comfortable transport, and plenty of opportunity to soak up the scenery.

We haven’t taken this exact trip ourselves, but based on the glowing reviews and detailed itinerary, it looks like a solid choice for anyone eager to see the highlights without the hassle of planning every detail.

One of the standout features we love is the small-group setting—up to 24 people—which means less time waiting and more personal attention from your guide. The other is the focus on storytelling, history, and wildlife, making the journey both scenic and informative.

Anita
I enjoyed the entire day it was amazing throughout. The guide was knowledgeable with a joke and a smile. Such a cheery disposition. Empathetic to everyone’s needs and requirements. The tour was well spaced out even though it was a long day it went very quickly with the commentary and the brakes for the toilet and refreshments. Good vibes throughout Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Tim was the best guide so far.

The guide, Mark, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole day and he took us to some "bonus" places where we saw Koalas & Kangaroos. The day was extremely long (14hrs) si be prepared! I think an option to include food would be sensible, because the evening meal stop was limited both in choice & time. Indeed, it may be worth passengers voting on whether they want to stop for dinner, or get back to the CBD earlier. However, overall it was an excellent trip, made all the more better by Mark
Louise
This was more than just a trip along Great Ocean Road – so much more to see and do! The only minor criticism I have if any was that the seats on the minibus were a bit cramped – my husband has long legs. Our tour guide, Sherif was exceptional. It was evident he was passionate about his job and wanted to ensure we all had a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble for him. If you’re hesitating whether to go on this trip – don’t! You will have a great day out! We are so pleased we went – memories that will stay with us forever! Louise & Mark Pugh – UK

That said, it’s a long day—around 13 hours—so if you’re not a fan of big bus days or fussing with a packed schedule, you might want to consider how this fits your travel style.

A potential consideration is the full-day format, which can be tiring for some, especially if you prefer a more leisurely pace or traveling with very young children. But if you’re after a comprehensive yet comfortable way to tick off the major sights of this stunning stretch of coast, this tour could be just right.

Who would this suit best? Travelers who enjoy guided experiences, want a variety of stops, and appreciate storytelling and wildlife encounters. It’s also a good pick if you value comfort and a well-organized day, rather than trying to piece things together on your own.

Fantastic day. So much packed into one day. Our guide, Lucy from Go West, was terrific. She made a point of getting to know everyone on the tour. She was humorous and knowledgeable. Seeing the 12 Apostles was worth every penny and then some. I would definitely recommend this tour.
