Great guides, wonderful atmosphere in a small group of 6. Highly recommended.

But, as with any guided tour, the main consideration is the small group size and the fixed schedule, which might feel a bit rushed if you’re a slow explorer. Still, for those who enjoy a balanced mix of walking, eating, and storytelling, it’s a solid pick.

This tour is particularly suited for those wanting a structured yet immersive way to explore Melbourne’s neighborhoods, especially if you love food and drinks. Couples, friends, or solo travelers looking for a fun, social experience will find a lot to enjoy here. Families with older children might also get a kick out of it, especially if they’re into food and street art.

If your goal is an in-depth, behind-the-scenes culinary experience, this will deliver a good taste, though not an exhaustive deep dive into every Melbourne secret.

Andrew
Russell, our guide, was amazing. The mix of walking, driving, sitting and eating was ideal. All the businesses that participated provided excellent service and food and/or drink. It was a small group which we really liked. In terms of improvement, we felt there could have been more instruction on how to get back to our hotels from the last stop on tour. We were just left there. Mind you, all our tours have ended the same way but maybe the guides could offer to drop people back to where the tour started if that's what they want. Otherwise, excellent tour and would recommend it to others.

While the tour is quite comprehensive, some reviewers mention that the description might promise more than is delivered, particularly regarding certain tastings like the vodka and sweets at the Botanic Gardens. Based on the reviews, it seems the actual experience relies heavily on the guide’s storytelling and the stops visited on the day, which can vary slightly.

The tour lasts about four hours, making it a manageable half-day activity, especially if you’re planning other sightseeing. The small group size makes it intimate but also means spots fill up quickly—booking in advance is recommended.
