Discover the Charm of Porto and the Atlantic Coast on a Bike or E-Bike Tour

If you’re looking to see a side of Porto beyond the crowded streets and well-trodden landmarks, this Bike or E-Bike Tour of Porto and the Atlantic Coast might just be your perfect escape. While I haven’t tried it myself, the glowing reviews and detailed itinerary suggest it’s a fantastic way to blend active exploration with laid-back sightseeing.
One thing I really appreciate about this experience is the focus on small-group intimacy—limiting groups to just 12 travelers means you get personalized attention and a more relaxed vibe. Plus, the route takes you away from busy city streets to tranquil forests, coastal towns, and stunning ocean views, making it a refreshing change from typical city tours. That said, it’s worth noting that this tour requires a moderate level of physical fitness and involves quite a bit of cycling, so it’s best suited for active travelers who enjoy being outdoors.
Amazing tour with Lionel, such an insightful, friendly and caring guide. The tour was incredible, I got to discover the country side of Porto away from the hussle. Lionel was always checking on my wellbeing and went beyond and above to make this experience truly unforgettable !
10 out of 5 stars! Our bike tour with Leonel was our favorite part of our time in Porto. He has so much knowledge from living there most of his life, and took us to places that we never would have enjoyed otherwise. He was very conscious of keeping a speed we were comfortable with, and giving us time to enjoy our stops along the way. We honestly can't recommend this tour and Leonel enough.
Well organised tour, good quality E bikes & Lionel is an excellent guide, informative with a sense of humour
Another standout? The guide’s local knowledge and personable approach seem to elevate the ride into more than just a scenic route—they bring the area’s culture and stories to life. However, because the scenery and stops are more about natural beauty and local spots rather than famous landmarks, if you’re after iconic sights, this might not cover all your must-see lists. Still, if you love a mix of nature, seaside towns, and authentic local experiences, this tour hits the right notes.
Ultimately, this tour is ideal for those who want to combine light exercise with sightseeing, prefer small groups, and enjoy getting off the beaten path. It’s especially good for travelers who like to explore at their own pace without the hassle of navigating or planning every detail.

A beautiful ride by the coast, through villages and pine forests. Leonel was a fabulous guide, explaining the sights ad answering questions. Essy ride, with option for very affordable e-bike for those not used to 30 miles. It is very flat and on dedicated cycle routes for most of the journey. Best way to see the real Portugal. Great bikes too to make the cycle very comfortable.
First class – a wonderful experience – We did the full route from Porto to Ova Cycling along the coast – through a nature reserve and finishing with the pine forest – all absolutely stunning. Amazing that all this is so close to Porto. Leonel and Marta are an excellent team – very good company – great communication – good bikes – clear instruction – importantly as they have grown up in the area they have a wealth of knowledge which was generously shared. Thank you both for a great ride. Thoroughly recommend.
