If you’re planning to experience Tenerife’s vibrant waters, this snorkeling and boat tour offers a chance to see some of its most captivating marine creatures. We haven’t personally tried this tour, but based on reviews and details, it seems like a solid choice for those who want to combine an exciting boat ride with underwater exploration.

What we really like about this experience is how it blends speedboat excitement with relaxing snorkeling—great for those who want a bit of adrenaline mixed with time to float and enjoy the underwater scenery. Another perk is the expert knowledge shared by guides, who can point out where you’re most likely to spot turtles, dolphins, and a variety of fish.

A potential consideration is that, as with all wildlife encounters, there’s no guarantee to see turtles or marine animals. The ocean is unpredictable, and sightings depend on luck and animal activity. So if your main goal is wildlife spotting, this tour is more about the experience and scenery than assured animal encounters.

The snorkeling place was a little hard to find, but once we found it, everything was great. Max and the captain were amazing. They brought us out on a little speedboat and took us to the cove where we saw many fish, dolphins with babies and one turtle.! Max was such a pleasure!! The whole staff was amazing! Would definitely do it again!!

Exceptional guides with a real passion for what they do. Nothing is too much trouble and although this time we didn’t manage to see turtles we was lucky enough to see dolphins. A great experience led by good qualified staff. Thanks very much

An incredible experience. Although we didn’t see any turtles, it felt like we were in an aquarium surrounded by fish and the bluest waters. Everyone in the crew was very very nice and we will definitely be coming back! A special thanks to Ale, Óscar and Rúben.

This tour suits travelers who enjoy outdoor adventures, family groups, or those simply wanting a quick, fun excursion on the water. If you’re looking for a relaxed, guided marine experience without the hassle of organizing gear or transportation, this could be a great pick.

This initial step is important—they’ll explain snorkeling rules and some insights about underwater life, which can be very helpful if you’re new to snorkeling. The boat trip itself lasts approximately 10-15 minutes along the coast, giving you a scenic ride to the turtle habitat. We enjoyed a great dive experience today with Julia who managed to introduce our Girl of 10 years to suba dive for the first time. Julia and the whlole team shared good material and experience and we really enjoyed a lovely afternoon diving. The Dive Center is just at the corner of the Puerto Colon and easy to find if you use google map. Pick the Travel Sub Dive Center team – very fair price for a professional team and equipment. Thank you again Julia for the great 1st long dive of our girl – she loved it very much.

Very friendly and clear crew. They also made photo’s that we could buy afterwards which was really nice

Snorkeling and Marine Life

Snorkeling and Boat Tour in a Turtle Area - Snorkeling and Marine Life

Expect to see a variety of fish, rays, and other marine creatures. Even if turtles are elusive, the underwater scenery often delights visitors. In reviews, multiple guests mention being surrounded by colorful fish and feeling like they are in an aquarium, which speaks to the vibrancy of the waters around Tenerife.

However, some travelers, like Amy, point out that visibility can vary, and water conditions might be choppy, especially if the weather is windy. For those sensitive to sea sickness, this might be something to consider—the water can be quite choppy, and the tour itself is not recommended for those who get seasick easily.

This was a really family friendly trip. They were very good at communicating (we had to delay twice due to weather) and also explaining about everything before we got on the boat. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because we were told not to take bags (small boat!) on the boat and so we got cold on our way back…
Sophie F
Sadly we didn't see the resident sea turtle but we did see plenty of other fish! My partner isn't the strongest swimmer but he felt very well looked after by our guide, who's name I've totally forgot! We did this back in May, admittedly it wasn't the warmest weather and the sea was quite chippy… wouldn't suggest doing this sort of activity in any of the earlier months of the year for this reason!

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing this experience was, and that’s 100% down to the staff at the dive center. It’s clear that it’s like a little family and for the short time I got to spend with them I felt a part of the family too. They were caring, informative and funny and if it weren’t for the fact my holiday ended, I’d 100% have gone back. I was very anxious to go out in to the sea and had a panic attack when I got off the boat, but the staff helped me through it and supported me so I could conquer my tears, get pictures, and even see stingrays! At no point did I feel a burden or like I was being judged and I actually really enjoyed myself despite the anxiety…

Snorkeling was good. Good instructor and snacks and water for free on board. We stayed 1hour and 15min in the water snorkeling. Thumbs up!

The experience was exciting. First comes the boat part where it is nice ride, you get to enjoy the waves and a nice view of the island. Then there is the snorkeling part. There were dolphins few meters away. Saw many kinds of fish.
Sigridur S
Service was excellent. Good english speakers and good instructions. The sea was alittle bit too wavey but thats not their fault soo over all good

Real Guest Experiences

Snorkeling and Boat Tour in a Turtle Area - Real Guest Experiences

From Kevin’s review, we learn that guides are passionate and attentive, making sure everyone has an enjoyable time—even if turtles aren’t spotted. Donna’s experience highlights how finding the snorkeling spot can be tricky, but once there, the sights—dolphins, fish, and perhaps a turtle—are worth the effort.

Sophie mentions that even a less experienced swimmer felt well cared for, which is reassuring if you’re not confident in your swimming skills. Conversely, Ryan’s review, though negative, points out some frustrations—particularly about the limited snorkeling area and the unpredictability of wildlife sightings.

This underscores the importance of managing expectations: wildlife encounters are not guaranteed, but the scenery and guides can still make it a memorable outing.

Peter D
I had never been on a speedboat before or worn a wet suit. It was nice seeing the coast from the sea. The organisation was great and guys were super friendly and helpful but no turtles well they can't guarantee wild animals but the snorkeling area had very few fish to see either.
Camille L
Amazing experience just be warned the water can be very choppy! Not recommended if you get sea sick haha!!
Kayla D
The staff was nice enough, but we sat and waited for over an hour after our arrival time before we were prepared to actually go out on the water. We did see a turtle (!) but I felt that there was very little guidance, enthusiasm, or excitement. Wouldn’t recommend.
