If you’re eyeing a way to see Tenerife that’s a little more adrenaline-fueled than the usual bus or car tour, a quad bike adventure might be just what you need. We’ve looked into the Tenerife Quad Adventure Teide Tour and it looks like a solid choice for those craving an active, scenic, and fun experience.

This half-day escapade promises a chance to enjoy the island’s diverse landscapes—from lush forests to volcanic terrain—on a sturdy quad bike, with the added bonus of expert guidance.

What really appeals to us about this tour are the mix of scenery and ease of access, plus the notable safety measures like helmets and professional guides. It’s a route that offers both adventure and comfort, especially considering the scenery is so breathtaking you’ll want to stop for photos at every turn.

Take warm clothing, it can be cold at the top of the mountain. The steering can be quite hard so you need to have some fitness to fully enjoy the trip.
ANDREW B
Fantastic well organised trip with great guides who looked after us all. We had a great time. Would recommend this trip to all.

We had the best time on this trip! The views driving through the national park were amazing and a great view of Mount Teide. We felt very safe due to the great organisation and direction of our guides Lucas and Yeary. They made the day so enjoyable taking great photos of us as well. We would definitely recommend renting the coats and gloves for a small price as the temperature difference when you’re driving and climbing up through the hills is crazy, quite chilly when you’re 2100m up! A great day and would definitely recommend!

However, one thing to keep in mind is that most of the ride is on paved roads, with only about 15% on dirt tracks, which might be a letdown if you’re hoping for heavy off-road fun.

This experience tends to suit adventurous travelers who are comfortable on a quad, and who want a taste of Tenerife’s natural beauty without the whole day commitment.

It’s also popular among small groups, making it perfect if you’re traveling with friends or a romantic partner looking for something memorable. If you have kids over 7 or are comfortable with a bit of outdoor adventure, this could be a great choice.

What a fantastic trip it was well organised from start to finish pick up from the hotel was on time. We went in the afternoon for the sunset and wow the views were incredible. It did get a little chilly so take a jacket however you can rent a warm jacket for €4 and an extra €1 if you want gloves I can honestly say it was well worth it. The guys were very professional throughout the trip ensuring our safety was maintained. You cannot use your camera whilst driving or as a passenger for safety reasons but you get the chance to stop to take photos. We stopped after an hour at a little cafe to get a drink and comfort break it’s the only stop you will have.

Great activity! Cold at the top so bring sweatshirt. Booked a double which was nice to share the driving. Loved the views and got to explore more of the island. Tour guides are very nice and it is well organized.

I was picked up on time and taken to the venue were we were given the H&S instructions etc On the road the guides were continually ensuring our H&S with good traffic management they were informative of the tour and we stopped at a nice cafe for refreshments. As it were October the higher we got the colder it got on the bikes so make sure you take warm clothing but again the guides were checking we were ok. All in all a good experience and felt safe both guides were excellent

Once you’re geared up with a helmet and briefed by your guides, the ride kicks off. We loved the way the tour smoothly transitions from urban areas through charming towns like Vilaflor—known for its cool mountain air and quaint vibe—before entering the national park. Expect around 90 kilometers of riding, with roughly 15% on dirt tracks, which adds a bit of off-road thrill to the experience.

The ride is a mix of paved and unpaved roads, with the latter giving that great off-road feel without being too intense. About midway through, there are plenty of opportunities to stop, take photos, and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

The highlight is reaching Boca del Tauce, where you can admire the towering presence of Mount Teide, Spain’s highest peak at 3,760 meters. From here, the views are simply spectacular, with the landscape sprawling out in every direction.

The guides are praised repeatedly for their professionalism and friendliness. Many reviews mention feeling very safe with their instructors, who are quick to assist and keep traffic under control to ensure a safe riding experience. They also keep the atmosphere light and fun, which makes even newcomers to quad biking feel relaxed.

Brilliant from beginning to end, the two men who ran the excursion could not be anymore helpful…well worth cost for a great experience
Anna J
Absolutely brilliant experience and plenty of photos opportunities. The lads were brilliant, they kept us safe the whole time but we also had lots of fun. Will definitely be back!

This was a very enjoyable experience for a first time using a quad, note the recommendations, long troussers. This is due to the heat from the engine as well as protection from the sun. The guides were excellent, our safety paramount throughout the ride. Check in regular with all riders to ensure they were comfortable with the quad they were riding. Pick up and drop off, was hassle free, communication to arrange was simple and everything was made clear. Off road element is very small, but this is about enjoying the views and just taking your time. If you think this will be opening up awesome non existent power on tenefife twisties, your booking the wrong experience lol, these quads that prob…
