Awesome experience! We met our driver Lucy just outside at the museum caracol. She took us to our zip line adventure which felt so safe and well maintained! The facilities there were clean and well kept! After that we went to La bufadora where Lucy took us down to the blowhole and gave us tips on how to interact with shopkeepers and where the best food was! Overall it was a phenomenal experience and we absolutely will book through Viator and these businesses again!!

Would definitely recommend this tour. Our guide was Eric and he was excellent. He spent time talking about the history of Ensenada and answered any of our questions. He took us to two local taco shops so we could experience different kinds of tacos and the food was amazing. The zip line was also very fun and safe. All in all the tour was a great way to spend the day and get to experience Ensenada from a locals POV. We had no issues with timing and Eric was very courteous in making sure we made it back to port in time.

That said, a few considerations might influence your decision. The suspension bridges can be a bit challenging for some, and the busy market area at La Bufadora might feel overwhelming if you prefer quieter, less crowded spots. Also, the tour involves a fair amount of moving around, so it’s best suited for active travelers.

This experience tends to suit adventure lovers and curious travelers who want to see key highlights without spending a fortune. It’s especially popular with cruise visitors, but anyone wanting a diverse taste of Ensenada’s natural beauty and local charm will likely find it worthwhile.

In addition, the suspension bridges add a layer of challenge. Several reviewers mention that these bridges test your balance and stamina, with a few describing them as “somewhat challenging.” If you’re physically fit and not afraid of heights, you’ll likely find these bridges to be a fun part of the adventure; for others, they may require a bit of courage. Our tour guide Eric was amazing! He took care of us all along the way. We went zip lining, sight seeing and shopping. We had never been in Mexico but Eric made sure we went to all the right places and took us to a fantastic taco stand. I would highly recommend!!

This was a great time for our family of 6. We booked this excursion through Viator instead of booking through the cruise line. We got off the ship and took a quick 5 minute walk to our meeting spot. They also called me as we were getting off the ship just to make sure that we didn’t have any questions about where the meeting spot was. Once we met our tour guide we were taken to his car. It seemed a little odd to be in his personal car, but it was likely just because we hadn’t experienced that before. The car was clean and even though we are a tall family (4 of us over 6’) we fit snugly inside. The zip line / suspension bridge was our first stop. It was super clean and well taken care …

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience absolutely deserved one. My wife, our three adult children, and I had an incredible day in Ensenada thanks to our tour guide, Erik. He was truly outstanding from start to finish. We started with zip lining and suspension bridges at the breathtaking Los Cañadas Park. Erik gave us great tips, made sure we felt safe, and shared interesting details about the area. After that, we headed to La Bufadora, where he gave us tons of helpful local insight and information that really enhanced the experience. What really set Erik apart was how far he went above and beyond. He made a special stop at a local pharmacy for my wife, and later took us to a l…

Beyond the geyser, La Bufadora is also a lively market area packed with more than 80 Mexican craft shops. This part of the trip offers an authentic taste of local culture, with vendors selling artisanal goods, souvenirs, and tempting street snacks. Some travelers mention the pushy vendors, which can be a bit much if you prefer a calmer shopping experience. But many reviews highlight the delicious snacks and authentic street tacos that you can enjoy here.

One reviewer appreciated the guide’s local knowledge, saying, “Our driver Alex did a great job at La Bufadora showing us all the best places,” which makes a big difference when navigating busy markets. You’ll also get a chance to observe how traditional Mexican sweets are made—an interesting glimpse into the local culinary culture.

Scenic Viewpoint to End the Day at El Mirador

The final stop is El Mirador, a scenic overlook where you'll get sweeping views of Ensenada's coast, beaches, and agricultural areas. It’s a peaceful spot to soak in the scenery and take some memorable photos. The reviews mention this as a perfect way to close the day because of the “spectacular landscapes” and the beautiful memories created here.

This stop is brief — about 30 minutes — but it’s a great way to wind down after a busy day, giving you a moment to reflect on all you've experienced.
