What makes this tour stand out? First, the stunning scenery—you’ll walk over wooden pathways carved into the canyon, get close to waterfalls, and enjoy mountain vistas that are quite different from the coastline. Second, the value for money is notable; at just $24, the full package, including lunch and guides, is pretty reasonable.
This is an experience for those that like to have adventure and unexpected fun. We never did make it to the silk experience.
After reading the description and itinerary we were expecting to drive up to Sapadere canyon, possibly with some information about the history/wildlife in the area, and then a visit to Sapadere village for info about silk production. Although the trip mentions Dim Cave in the info, this wasn't actually mentioned in the itinerary so we weren't sure what to expect. We got picked up back on time and taken to meet up the rest of the tour, where our guide explained we would be going to a small family restaurant and learn about pancake making, then to Goblin Cave (which you had to pay 150 lira per person to enter) and then on to the canyon. They also informed us at this point that waterfighting b…
Highly recommend this experience especially if you have kids. My nephew loved the water fights between buses. Mustafa the camera guy was great and friendly, our driver and his son were on time and made the trip fun. The canyon and the caves were beautiful.
But of course, there are a few things to keep in mind — like the possibility of loud music on the bus and some expectations around physical activity. Overall, it’s best suited for those who enjoy outdoor adventures and aren’t afraid of a bit of walking or swimming.

The Canyon: A Natural Wonder
Once you arrive at Sapadere Canyon, you’re greeted with a 750-meter-long, 400-meter-high gorge that’s impressive. What’s special about this spot? It’s not just the scenery, but the way it’s been made accessible with wooden walkways that allow you to get right up close to rushing waterfalls and crystal-clear pools.
We loved the way the canyon combines adventure and tranquility — you can stroll along the paths or take a dip in the ice-cold waters under the waterfalls, which many reviews describe as a highlight.
Good value for money for whole day. Wasn't sure about water fights with other groups but was fun. Not everyone seemed to agree though so if this isn't your thing don't book. Tour guide good checking everyone was ok. Long walk into the canyon in quite a short space of time and just time to swim. Lovely dip in ice cold water. Caves were extra. Food really good in lovely setting.
Great trip, well organized. Take a swimsuit and clothes you can get dirty. I recommend the trip, it's fun 🙂
Very friendly drivers and staff that we meet in the way, we visited great places, very good food and nice family restaurant. But what turned a good trip to a great one, was the fighting with water with people from the other bus. To be safe take a plastic bag for electronics because will be a lot of fighting and will be impossible to stay dry.
Several visitors mention how stunning the waterfalls are, with Amanda_K noting that the canyon and caves are "beautiful," and Ondrej_M calls it a "great trip, well organized." Expect a moderate level of physical activity—the walk into the canyon is not strenuous, but you should be comfortable with some uneven terrain and swimming in natural pools. Bring your swimwear and a towel — as many reviews suggest, the water fights and swimming make the experience a blast.
Visiting Sapadere Village and Silk Production
Next stop is Sapadere Village, which has a long-standing tradition of silk production dating back over 500 years. This visit offers an authentic glimpse into local craftsmanship, with opportunities to see silk processing and purchase finely crafted silk garments.
Several reviews appreciate this part, calling it "beautiful" and a chance to pick up unique souvenirs. If you’re into cultural experiences or textiles, this stop will likely satisfy.

The Water Fight and Lively Atmosphere
One of the most memorable aspects for many is the fun water fights between different groups, which adds an element of spontaneity and energy to the day. Several travelers, especially those with kids (or those young at heart), describe this as a highlight. However, some reviews mention that this can get loud or chaotic, so if you’re after a quiet, meditative experience, this might not be your vibe.
