I’ve called Austin home for nearly three years, and when my mom visited for the first time, I wanted to share the city’s vibrant charm with her in a truly memorable way. After browsing reviews, I decided to book a pedicab tour—something I’d never considered before but thought could be a fun adventure. It was an absolute hit! Our guide, Thomas, was phenomenal, bringing the city to life with his knowledge and energy. This pedicab tour is hands-down the best way to experience Austin. The open-air ride lets you soak in the sights, sounds, and atmosphere in a way no car tour could match. We explored hidden gems and iconic spots alike, places we’d never have discovered otherwise. Best tour of my trip! Thomas was the most outstanding guide I’ve ever had! He showed me all the beautiful street art and the other highlights of Austin. Very thorough and so pleasant to chat with!
Got to see a bunch of areas and learn about Austin. Thomas was great and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend
That said, a quick ride around means you’re not covering every inch of the city, so if you’re seeking an in-depth exploration, you might want to supplement this tour.
It’s also worth noting that this tour works best for people who appreciate engaging guides, great photo ops, and a leisurely pace. If you’re tired of walking or want a more relaxed, intimate look at Austin’s mural scene, this might be perfect. But if you prefer a larger group or a more structured, extensive city tour, you might want to consider other options.

When exploring reviews prior booking, I saw some people mentioned that this tour was probably the best they had while traveling. It piqued my curiosity and I did book one ! Well, I can now say the same: this tour with Thomas was probably the best I ever had in any city/country I've been to. Thomas was really flexible for pick up. He was also very communicative even before the tour. Our time together was amazing !!! He effectively gauged my energy and my personality to know what stops to include. I also enjoyed talking to him during the whole trip. He is a fantastic guy with such an interesting life story. Will definitely book again, the next time I'm in Austin!!! Thank you Thomas for everyt…
One of the best tours we ever took. Thomas was very flexible. He explained the murals, gave an over all tour of the city, hit all the famous selfie spots, took us on a food tour (pedicab drive thu) and pointed out all the best famous and hole in the wall eats. He waited while I hopped out for BBQ, ice cream, and burgers. He picked us up on time and we when we asked, he extended our tour by 45 minutes, yes we paid him for that but we had such a good time laughing, seeing, eating and drinking.
Thomas was fabulous! He gave us a great scenic tour of the murals and street art throughout Austin. It was a super comprehensive tour and he was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We highly recommend him for all your pedicab needs!!!
A reviewer named Anne_M called it the "best tour of my trip" and appreciated how thorough the guide was in showing all the beautiful street art and city highlights. Another said it was "very pleasant to chat with", highlighting the friendly vibe.
Stop 2: Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge
Next, the route takes you through the Barton Springs area, ending at the Pfluger Bridge — a top spot for great city views and photos. The bridge offers a fantastic perspective of the Austin skyline and the park’s greenery, making it a favorite for visitors wanting a perfect shot. The tour spends around 30 minutes here, giving you enough time to adjust your camera or just soak in the scenery.
Again, reviews praise this stop for its visual appeal and the relaxing drive through the park. It’s clear that this part of the tour is as much about the experience of the ride as it is about the sights.
Stop 3: Congress Avenue
Afterward, your guide will take you along Congress Avenue, which is home to many of Austin’s attractions. The guide points out the interesting spots along the street, and depending on your time, you might stop at a couple of places. This part of the tour is about city ambiance and local flavor, with the guide sharing insights on what makes Austin unique.
The review from Kelley_R notes that "Thomas was great and very knowledgeable," and that visitors will learn about Austin while enjoying the ride.
The Experience on the Pedicab

The driver-guide, Thomas Wayne in this case, is praised for being friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible — a trait highlighted across multiple reviews. Music is played during the ride, adding to the relaxed, fun atmosphere.
The tour’s duration, roughly 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, strikes a good balance — enough to see key sights without feeling rushed or overly tired. As a private tour, only your group participates, which means you can ask questions and customize a bit if needed.
Price and Value
At $120 per person, this tour sits on the more premium side for a roughly 90-minute experience, but considering it’s private and includes personalized attention, it’s quite reasonable.
