Amazing views of the area as you are hiking up and a great experience coming down the waterfall! Caleb is an awesome guide!

Caleb was an absolutely awesome guide. Super communicative, knowledgeable, and just a good time. He made sure we were safe and comfortable the entire experience, and really met us at our skill level. An absolutely beautiful hike to kick off the day. We’re avid hikers, so found it to be right up our alley, but know that there are some scrambles and it is off the beaten path. Probably my favorite thing we did while exploring the different Hawaiian islands. Thanks, Caleb!!

Exhilarating! First, Caleb is just a wonderful person and for this kind of activity you need that. The hike is a little wild as it’s not really a trail, I think it adds more to that jungle hike experience, but I promise it is SO WORTH IT! What a view! The waterfall drops into a little pool that you can swim in. It is such a beautiful hike, and then you get to the crazy and fun part- the rapelling, you can absolutely do it. Caleb made the experience feel like my husband and I were on a hike with a friend which made us feel more comfortable and then excited about the rapelling part. He makes it feel less stuffy out there, calms you down and gets you pumped for the experience. Thank you Caleb…

The guide, Caleb, is praised for being knowledgeable and personable, which makes all the difference when trying something new and a bit daring. Plus, the opportunity to snap photos using drones or GoPros adds to the fun and helps preserve those epic moments.

On the flip side, it’s worth noting that this experience requires a moderate physical fitness level. The jungle hike isn’t exactly a paved trail, so it’s a bit wild and muddy at times, which might not suit everyone. But if you’re comfortable with hiking and ready for a bit of adventure, it’s well worth the effort.

This tour seems best suited for adventure seekers, nature lovers, or those looking to add a unique story to their Hawaii trip. Families with older children or teenagers might also enjoy it, provided everyone is comfortable with physical activity and heights.

This was hands down one of the coolest things I have done on any trip anywhere. Hiking to the top should not be undersold as it was just as exhilarating as the waterfall rappel (I'm sure that's a controversial take lol but the views were great). I'm an experienced hiker in my 30s and a casual indoor rock climber. The pictures I got from this were incredible! The trail to the top wasn't as difficult as others had made it seem online in Google reviews. That being said it is still very rugged. When I hiked, the conditions to the top were pretty dry and there were no issues with mosquitos but I could see it getty pretty muddy after some rain. Bring good hiking shoes! I did the Extreme version o…

Rappelling and Down the Waterfall

This is the highlight. You’ll descend a waterfall into a small pool below, feeling the rush of water and the thrill of accomplishing something pretty wild. Review quotes from past adventurers describe this as “exhilarating,” “once-in-a-lifetime,” and “the best excursion on Waikiki.” Many mention that the descent is controlled and safe, even for first-timers. And during the rappel, Caleb can take photos and videos, so you end up with great keepsakes.

Relaxing and Snacking

After your descent, you’ll get to unwind with snacks and drinks while Caleb packs up gear. It’s a nice moment to soak in the environment, enjoy the cool water, and process the adrenaline rush. If you’ve brought a camera or drone, now’s your chance to get some photos of the stunning landscape from above.

The Return Hike and End of the Tour

Once everyone has taken their turn and you’ve packed up, the group will head back down the trail to the starting point. The roughly five-hour experience wraps up with everyone safely returned, feeling accomplished, energized, and with plenty of stories to tell.

The tour includes all necessary gear—harnesses, ropes, helmets, gloves—so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own equipment or renting anything separately. Caleb also provides snacks and bottled water, making sure you’re fueled for both the hike and the excitement of rappelling.

This all-inclusive approach helps create a smooth experience, especially for those new to outdoor adventure activities. It also emphasizes safety, as having high-quality gear and proper instructions minimizes risks.
