4.9(137 reviews)From $58 per person

If you’re considering exploring Corfu’s western coast, this full-day bus trip is worth a look. It promises a mix of stunning scenery, cultural stops, and relaxing beach time—all for a reasonable price. We’ve reviewed this experience, so you’ll get a clear picture of what to expect, including what makes it attractive and what might not quite fit your travel style.

Two things we really love are the variety of stops packed into the day—from a cliff-top monastery to charming villages—and the guides who keep things interesting with stories and insights. The scenic boat tour of sea caves, and the chance to swim in crystal-clear waters, are also definite highlights.

One potential consideration is the length of the day—it’s a full 10 hours—and some travelers might find the schedule a bit tight, especially if you’re prone to fatigue or prefer a more leisurely pace. Also, the tour price doesn’t include meals, sunbeds, or boat trips, so be prepared for extras if you want to extend your experience.

We had a great day with Georgos. Although, at the end of October, it was too rough to take a boat trip or bathe comfortably, he came up with some great suggestions to make the most of our day. Great guide and a beautiful day out.
Máté Gábor
George was absolutely fantastic as a guide and drove us safely to the amazing locations while giving us very interesting information about Corfu and Paleokastrista. I highly recommend this trip.

This absolutely exceeded my expectations. George was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable and very friendly (and a fab photographer too!) The day felt lovely and relaxed, there was plenty of time for a swim in Paleokastritsa and the place we stopped at for lunch had the most breathtaking views. It was also excellent value for money. I would recommend to everyone to do this day trip, the views are spectacular and the host absolutely excellent! I also liked the small group size, there were only 6 of us so it felt nice and intimate and you could chat to your fellow travellers over the course of the day and get to know them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This trip works best for those who want a well-organized, comprehensive tour that blends natural beauty, culture, and a taste of local life. It’s especially suited for those who enjoy a mix of sightseeing and relaxation, and aren’t fussed about tight schedules.

It kicks off in Corfu Town at the Douglas Obelisk, where you’ll hop onto a comfortable air-conditioned bus. From there, it’s about a 45-minute ride to your first main stop, Paleokastritsa—arguably the most iconic spot on the island. The journey alone is a chance to relax and enjoy the views.

Georgios (hope i spelled the name right) was an excellent guide and was really passionate about the history. Excellent day out and well worth it!

This was amazing! Such a great trip of you're not driving on the island, the place is just amazing. the optional boat tour was ok, it was good to go down the coast and see caves and the other crystal waters. The beaches around were great, tour guide was very helpful, took us to a restaurant to look down at the view and the olive oil museum was really quite interesting.

I enjoyed the views of Paleokastritsa from Bella Vista, interesting facts given all day long from the host George. The swimming at Paleokasstritsa beach refreshing but busy. At the Olive oil museum it gave us history of Olives in Corfu with the taste of oils to try. The whole experience was great.

Afterward, you can enjoy about four and a half hours to relax on the beach and take a swim in the clear waters. The beaches in Paleokastritsa are known for their beauty—firm sand or pebbles, and water so clean and inviting that it’s hard not to dip right in.

You might find, as some reviews mention, that arriving early helps you beat the crowds, especially if you want some quiet time or a less crowded swim.

Boat Tour of Sea Caves and Grottoes

A boat ride is part of the adventure, taking you to explore the sea caves and grottoes around the coast. Expect to see the Cave of Nausicaa and the Blue Eye, with opportunities to swim in the sheltered waters of some caves.

The boat tour lasts about 35-45 minutes and is a real treat for nature lovers. Many reviewers love the scenery, with some mentioning how the small boat size makes it feel more intimate and personal.

Daniel
Our guide, George, was simply amazing! He was so passionate, informative and engaging! We had about 4 hours in Paleokastitsia, where we went to the monastery, sat on the beach and some lovely swims. It was gorgeous! There were boat tours from a little jetty for £15, which is definitely worth doing! We then went to Lakones and Bella Vista, which has the most spectacular view! We then went for a walk around a quaint, traditional Greek village, followed by a visit to an olive oil museum and olive oil tasting. The olive marmalade was out of this world! All in all, this was a great experience and definitely worth it for anyone visiting Corfu! I couldn’t possibly praise George highly enough! Th…

This was my second tour that I participated in. It was AMAZING!!! I traveled alone, but Styliana and Mr Christos became my friends and I didn't feel as if I was alone for a moment. The activities were wonderful and I enjoyed it from the heart. If you want to discover Corfu, find out new things, I highly recommend this tour and all the others from them. It was a pleasure to meet you and thank you for becoming my friends. I will undoubtedly return to Corfu!! ❤️

This is a great chance to stroll through narrow streets, enjoy local architecture, and perhaps pick up a few souvenirs. The iconic Agios Christoforos church is worth a look, and the relaxed pace allows for some genuine exploration.

From there, you’ll head to Vistonas to visit the Olive Oil Museum. This is a highlight for those interested in Greek agriculture and craftsmanship. The guided tour explains how olives are cultivated and turned into oil, and you get to taste different oils and products—an authentic taste of local tradition.

We visited Paleokastritsa, first took us to the Monastery and then we were on our own for about 3 hours, enough to walk around and swim. Then we visited one little village for lunch with an amazing view, another one that was very cute and finally another one where we saw the olive oil museum with the tasting. All the transport from start to end was punctual, organized and very comfortable. The guide was simply perfect, always giving us history and culture information along the way, and letting us be flexible to our our wants and needs. Definetely reccomend it and dont miss this place if you are in Corfu! Special thank you to George, our guide that is a local and I loved everything he taught …

Having done two other day trips during our holiday, this one was by far the best! George (Geōrgios) was excellent and made our experience even better with his local, authentic heritage of the island. Very knowledgable, entertaining and attentive, getting everyone involved. The perfect way to end the final day of our holiday – George you are an asset to the company and cannot recommend this tour enough. If I could it 6 stars, I would.
