If you’re dreaming of a day spent soaking up the sun, bobbing around in crystal-clear waters, and admiring some of Rhodes’ most gorgeous scenery, a Day Cruise by Sailing Yacht might just be your perfect getaway. We’ve looked into this popular tour, and while we haven’t done it ourselves, the glowing reviews and detailed info paint a pretty appealing picture.
What really caught our eye are two standout features: the chance to visit multiple bays in a single day—Anthony Quinn’s, Ladiko, and Traganou—and the inclusion of snacks and drinks that seem to hit the right spot after a refreshing swim. The small-group setup, capped at just 15 travelers, also promises a more personal experience compared to larger tours.
On the flip side, some reviews mention a boat that can feel a bit crowded or chaotic, especially if the crew is short-staffed.
Lovely day sailing the sea friendly captain and mate. good at giving information. food and drink very good.
Great trip with a very knowledgeable captain highlight of the entire trip was the Greek salad he made the only downside is we’ve been trying to find something similar ever sense and we’ve not been able to all restaurants here have the Greek salad but not like what he made highly recommend this trip.
George was amazing. Truly amazing. He and his assistant were fantastic. Took care of us from start to finish. Providing drinks and lunch and a beautiful relaxing boat ride with all the right stops. Truly a knowledgeable gentleman. Best day in Rhodes. Fantastic experience. Felt very safe with him too.
Still, this trip looks like it suits anyone who’s eager for scenic sights, a laid-back day on the water, and a taste of local Greek hospitality.
Whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple, or a small group, this cruise offers a relaxed way to enjoy Rhodes from a different perspective. If you’re after a day of swimming, sunbathing, and gentle sailing—without the fuss of large crowds—this trip could be a good fit.
Just keep in mind that some reviews highlight the importance of a well-maintained boat and attentive crew, so doing a little prep before booking is worth it.

What to Expect on This Rhodes Sailing Yacht Tour

This day cruise offers a relaxed, enjoyable way to see some of Rhodes’ most scenic spots. Starting at Half Price Tours in Rhodes, you’ll head out around 10:00 am for roughly six hours of sailing, swimming, and chilling out. With a maximum of 15 travelers, you’ll have plenty of space to spread out and enjoy your time.
Great sailing to three bays with a wonderful captain Georgia. My wife even got to steer the boat on the way back. Food was good too.
The yacht was slightly chaotic as our skipper was single handed and also provided us with a lovely meal comprising Greek Salad and chicken with fresh bread. He did a great job but the head could have been cleaner. The sail was lovely and we had the chance to swim in all 3 bays. I would recommend this trip but I feel that a 2 person crew would have made the trip even better.
This was our favorite day on the trip. Cruising around was so peaceful and so what we wanted to get from Greece.

Visiting the Bays
The tour hits Anthony Quinn’s Bay, Ladiko Bay, and Traganou Bay—each offering something special. Anthony Quinn’s Bay is famed for its emerald waters and rugged scenery, making it a favorite among travelers. Ladiko offers calm waters great for swimming, and Traganou is a quieter spot where you can float and relax.
Several reviews highlight how these stops allow for multiple dips, so you can enjoy different environments without feeling rushed.
Swimming and Sunbathing
Most guests loved the chance to jump into the clear waters, with many saying that the swim breaks were the highlight of their day. We’re told the scenery is stunning enough to keep your camera busy, whether you’re lounging on the deck or floating in the water.
The reviews mention that some groups wish for more secluded spots, but overall, the bays are sufficiently peaceful, especially if you’re early to arrive or stay a bit longer.
The trip was absolutely fantastic!! There was easy communication so that if I had any questions I could reach out and ask, the trip was amazing and we got to swim in 2 beautiful places. Lunch provided was also great, and filling so don't worry about bringing snacks unless you really want to. They also have tons of water and soda and beer so not much need for beverages either. The boat can get rocky so if you get sea sick, keep that in mind. Overall, it was an amazing time that I would recommend to anyone!
We had a WONDERFUL day in Rhodes on a sailing yacht under the command of Captain Dimitri and First Mate Despina. They made us feel welcome, took us to three beautiful swimming coves, and treated us like royalty. The highlight was when our group floated in a beautiful little cove with Greek bazoukia music playing in the background, followed by a delicious lunch of pastischio, Greek salad, and birras! We were on a seven day cruise to the Greek islands and all 10 of agreed our day with Captain Dimitri and Despina was the highlight of the week. Efharisto Para Poli!
Enjoyed this trip. Beautiful weather!!!several stops! Time for swimming. Lovely Greek lunch. There were 10 total guest -six in our party but it felt very personal.
Food and Drinks
Snacks and drinks are included, which is quite the perk when you’re spending hours in the sun. Expect cold appetizers, fruits, and a selection of wine, beer, and refreshments. Multiple reviews say the lunch was good, with one mentioning a Greek salad and chicken with fresh bread.
The emphasis on local, simple fare really enhances the experience—no fancy, over-the-top meals, but enough to satisfy and keep you energized for your time on the water.
The Sailing Experience
The sailing itself is praised for its smoothness and the expertise of the crew. Captain Georgia, as one review puts it, is a “wonderful captain,” and others mention the thrill of sailing back to Rhodes harbor.
Some reviews note that the boat may feel a bit chaotic or crowded, especially if the crew is single-handed or if the boat is overbooked. However, most guests enjoyed the relaxed vibe and appreciated the opportunity to see Rhodes from the sea.
Lovely trip to the bays, 2 gentlemen polite helpful, picked up on time from our hotel. Plenty of fish to see when snorkeling and a swim into the cave was a fav for me. Drinks flow on request and a lovely lunch provided followed by fresh fruit on our last stop. Only minor gripe a small boat so no room to lay & sunbathe.
We had a wonderful half day’s sailing along the Rhodes coast , stopping frequently for swims in the deep blue water in spectacular coves. Demitri and crew were relaxed and knowledgeable hosts making it a special day. There are a number of ways to explore the island via boat – some are loud and fast speedboats , some “pirate” type booze filled cruises. This small group option was ideal for a younger family / teens , kids even got a chance to helm for a short while. Super day out , thanks George and team.
Lovely sailing boat. Crew were excellent. Only eight people on the trip. Food and drinks offered were very good. Exhilaration sail back to Rhodes harbour. Would recommend this trip to anyone wanting a beautiful trip round the north coast of Rhodes.

Anthony Quinns Bay! And 3 swimstop! Very good pick up and return! Nice to see Rhodes from the seaside
We were on our honeymoon and it was our favorite activity of the week! We had a blast with the captain, food was delicious and the coast was beautiful!
This excursion was great. If there's any complaint, it's that the food that was offered was very basic. Also, the locations we stopped at were mostly occupied by many other people. It would have been nice to stop at some more secluded locations.
