If you’re considering trying scuba diving in Didim, you’ve probably come across this tour. It promises a half-day underwater adventure, complete with hotel pickup, diving equipment, safety training, and lunch. As someone who’s seen a lot of tours like this, I’ll give you a clear picture of what you can expect—both the good and the not-so-good.
What immediately caught our eye was the convenience of hotel pickup and drop-off, removing the hassle of finding transportation. Plus, the allure of feeding colorful fish and spotting octopuses sounds like a hit for anyone looking to add a splash of excitement to their holiday.
However, some reviews hint that the actual experience may not fully match the promotional promise, especially regarding duration and lunch. So, if you’re after a relaxed, full-day adventure, this might not be the best fit.
Instructer was great , and the experience was really good to feed the fish , but it’s advertised on here as 6 hrs with lunch when in fact from leaving the hotel the being back was 2 hrs total we were collected at 925 and were back at the hotel at 1130 I would have booked via jet2 if I knew as there’s was cheaper and actually said 2 hrs I thought this costing more covered the extra time but it’s not the case
It’s more suited for those wanting a quick, memorable underwater snapshot rather than a comprehensive diving experience.

What Is This Tour All About?

This 6-hour scuba diving experience in Didim offers a chance to explore underwater without necessarily needing prior experience. For just about $79, you get a comprehensive package that includes hotel pickup, all necessary diving equipment, a training session, and guiding from licensed instructors. It’s positioned as an accessible option for travelers eager to dip their toes into underwater adventures, especially for those who prefer a stress-free setup—meaning no taxis or navigating unfamiliar transportation.
The tour begins with a morning pickup from your hotel, which is quite practical. The vehicle is described as modern and comfortable, and they aim to wait no longer than 5 minutes after the scheduled time—an important detail if you’re on a tight schedule. From there, you’ll head to the port to board the boat, which is the platform for your adventure.

The Itinerary Explained

Pickup & Transfer
The experience kicks off early, with hotel pickup in a comfortable vehicle. This is a real plus if you’re staying in Didim, as it minimizes the hassle of organizing your own transport. The driver will wait promptly, and you’ll be on your way to the port, where the boat awaits.
Introductory Session & Safety Briefing
Once aboard, your instructors will provide a half-hour safety and training briefing. Here, they will explain the sign language and breathing techniques needed for underwater breathing. You’ll also learn how to properly use the diving gear. This part is crucial, especially for beginners, and it’s good to see that professionals take safety seriously.
More Great Tours NearbyThe Dive & Underwater Exploration
The boat anchors at your first dive site, chosen by the instructors. The actual dive lasts around 30 minutes, during which you can swim alongside colorful fish and perhaps spot the elusive octopus. Participants report that the instructors are attentive and helpful, which makes a big difference when you’re new to the activity.
What an amazing experience we had! I am an experienced diver and my partner is not so I took him for his 40th. As a novice this was ideal! You don’t go very deep (5-10) meters but it was a beautiful experience and would highly recommend. The instructors are fabulous and very attentive.
Return & Optional Photo Purchase
After your underwater adventure, you’ll head back to the port, with an estimated early afternoon return. You can purchase photos and videos of your dive afterward—an extra cost, but a nice way to keep memories. Then, a vehicle will transfer you back to your hotel.
What’s Included & What’s Not
Included are dive equipment, safety training, guided instruction, insurance, and lunch. Not included are drinks, so keep that in mind if you want a cold beverage afterward. Also, luggage and large bags are not allowed, and kids under 14 aren’t permitted to dive, only to watch.
The Reality Check: What Do the Reviews Say?

While the tour has a modest rating of 2.7 based on 6 reviews, the feedback offers some helpful insights. Most criticisms revolve around discrepancies between the advertised and actual experience.
One reviewer, Tamara, mentions that the 6-hour activity was cut short, with her being back at the hotel by 11 am instead of 3 pm, and no lunch was offered. She states, “activity not recommended,” which hints at a disconnect between expectations and reality.
Jamie, on the other hand, appreciated the friendly instructor and the fish-feeding experience, but pointed out that the tour was much shorter than advertised. She said, “it was from leaving the hotel at 9:25 am and back at 11:30 am,” which is only about 2 hours, not the full six hours promised. She adds that she would have booked through her tour operator if she’d known.
Nia focused on the positive dive experience, praising the instructors but mentioning the short duration—about 3 hours total from pickup to drop-off—and that lunch was not provided. She also noted that the diving was on a beach under a pier, not from a boat, which might be a surprise for those expecting a sea adventure.
This feedback suggests that the actual experience might be shorter, simpler, and less comprehensive than the promotional material implies. The lunch, in particular, seems inconsistent—some guests get it, others don’t.
What’s Actually Worth While?

Despite some of the negatives, the underwater nature itself tends to be enjoyed. The guides' professionalism appears to be a plus, and the opportunity to feed fish and see marine life is a genuine highlight.
The price point of $79 makes it an accessible entry-level option. If you’re not expecting a full day or gourmet lunch, and are happy to do a quick dip with knowledgeable instructors, this could still be a memorable experience.
The convenience of hotel pickup and drop-off is genuinely valuable. For many travelers, saving time and effort outweighs the shorter duration or limited lunch options.
Who Should Consider This Tour?
If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly, hassle-free introduction to scuba diving in Didim, this tour might suit you. It’s perfect if you want a brief underwater snapshot rather than a long, immersive diving trip. It’s also good for families with older kids (over 14), who want to see marine life up close.
However, if your priority is a full day of diving, high-quality lunch, or detailed exploration, you might want to explore other options or book directly with a provider who can offer more comprehensive packages.
Final Thoughts

This scuba diving experience in Didim offers a convenient and affordable way to get a taste of underwater exploration. The professional guides and the chance to feed fish are definite pluses, especially for beginners or casual participants.
That said, expect the actual activity to be shorter than the advertised six hours—some reviews confirm that. The lunch might be a bonus, but not guaranteed. If you’re after a laid-back, quick introduction, it's worth considering. But if you’re craving a more detailed, full-day adventure, you might want to look elsewhere.
Overall, it’s a good option for travelers who value ease and quick fun over lengthy excursions, and who are okay with some variability in the experience.
