What you actually do on the 3-hour outing

The whole experience runs about 3 hours, and it’s designed as a compact intro rather than a long course. You’ll start with training and equipment setup, then head to the local dive area for your beginner-friendly session.
Team took great care of us even when I had a freak out towards the end. Managed me & my son very well. Great experience had by us both.
Best beginners dive for anyone. My wife was terrified having given up twice on previous visits but these guys were so patient and encouraging. Great place to experience your first dive
Everyone should try this at least once in their life! Amazing experience! Really detailed instructions, you feel informed and calm, because you know what to do. I had a few difficulties underwater and panicked a little bit, but they helped me, calmed me down and I continued my experience, thanks to the instructors, even when I thought of giving up. They track every single move you make and you feel safe all the time. We even got amazing photos and a video!!!! Also a great bonus, they took us from our hotel and left us there afterwards. Overall we are really happy with our experience!
The dive itself takes place at a shore site—so you’re not dealing with boat logistics. That matters when you’re new, because everything stays more predictable.
Green Bay Beach: where first dives tend to work
Your main stop is Green Bay Beach, a local spot known for conditions that suit beginners. Expect great visibility, easy entry and exit, and a marine world that’s varied enough to feel exciting without feeling overwhelming.
Many divers mention seeing the same kinds of highlights: colorful fish and, if you’re lucky, turtles. Another standout that shows up in reviews is the underwater statue garden, which makes the whole dive feel like more than “just practicing skills.”

Small-group training with real coaching

This is capped at a maximum of 6 travelers, and that small size is a big deal for first-time confidence. In the reviews, multiple people describe instructors who stayed patient through nerves and questions—especially the moments when breathing feels unfamiliar.
A recurring theme is emotional support: divers who were scared at the start say the team helped them settle down and keep going. If you’re anxious about the idea of scuba, this is the part that most strongly differentiates the experience.
Gear and instruction are included, and that’s the value

You don’t have to hunt down wetsuits, masks, or lesson logistics. Equipment and instruction are included, which makes the price feel more straightforward when you’re comparing it to “paying for everything separately.”
great first diving experience. would recommend. we didnt see any turtles but there were cool fish and sea urchin and of course the stones you can see in the pictures. the guys we dove with made pictures of us and a video. and the two guys behind us helped us with the ascending end descending because me and my friends were lost. will definitely dive again in my life. but of course there are better places to dive in the world. but when you're in cyprus. go there, cool people, cool experience, good instructions, free pictures and video, free diving gear to use. price totally fine.
Nice, safe, instructive. Worked super good with my 12 year old with none of us having scuba experience. English instructions and moderate translation from parent needed.
10/10 Best experience of my life ! The 2 coordinators were so patient and informative. Horrendously scary at the beginning when singing the form and trying to breathe under water initially. I promise it’s worth the fear. Truly phenomenal.
You also get the comfort of knowing you’ll be briefed on how to use the gear before you’re in the water—something first-timers repeatedly call out as calming.
Hotel pickup and a smooth start-to-finish plan
Convenience is handled for you. There’s pickup available from hotels in Ayia Napa and Protaras, and the activity ends back where you meet.
Travelers seem to like that the day doesn’t turn into extra taxi wrangling. Reviews even mention the ability to feel well looked after end-to-end, not just during the dive.
What you’ll see underwater (beyond “fish and rocks”)

Beginner dives can sometimes feel repetitive, but here the underwater scenery helps. Divers frequently describe:
- Sea turtles when conditions and luck line up
- Underwater statues that create a memorable “wow” factor
- Interesting marine life like fish, and sometimes other creatures such as jellyfish
Even if you don’t spot every expected highlight (turtles aren’t guaranteed), the statue garden plus good visibility is often enough to make it feel special.
Photos and video: the nice bonus most people notice

A lot of reviews highlight that you’ll receive photos and video from the dive. That’s a practical perk, because underwater cameras are notoriously difficult to manage while you’re learning buoyancy and breathing.
It also helps justify the experience as a “memory day,” not only a skills day.
Who this is best for

This experience is marketed for people who want to learn a new sport while on vacation, and the reviews strongly support it as a first-dive option. It’s repeatedly recommended by first-timers and even families trying the activity with kids.
There’s also an important practical note: you’ll need to complete a medical questionnaire before participating. And the operator notes that the dive depends on good weather, with an alternative date or a full refund if it’s canceled for weather.
The booking reality: confirmed at purchase, small capacity, easy cancellation
Booking is straightforward, and you’ll receive confirmation at the time of booking. The experience is offered in English, and it’s listed as being near public transportation.
On cancellation, the terms are traveler-friendly: free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
Should you book this discover scuba experience in Ayia Napa?
If you want a beginner-friendly scuba intro with patient instruction, a small group, and a shore-based dive at Green Bay Beach, this is a strong pick. The overwhelming majority of reviews rate it highly for safety, calm coaching, and memorable underwater scenery, especially the statue garden and the chance to spot turtles.
Just be realistic: scuba has an emotional learning curve. A few negative reviews mention issues related to panic or expectations around support—but the consistent positives point to instructors who focus on making first-timers feel in control.
