We really enjoyed the tour, Luigi was extremely knowledgable and enthusiastic about Etna. He was engaging and kept my 8 and 9 year-old interested throughout. The volcano experiment was the highlight for the kids and we especially found the cave interesting. I would highly recommend this tour for families with kids. Please note, the tour does not provide transportation, you must make your way in your own vehicle.

Claudia did a wonderful job in educating the 6, 7 and 9 year olds and adults with stories and information. Exploring the cave with helmets and flashlight and hiking to the Silvestri craters was a bit challenging but she had it well planned so that everyone enjoyed it. We wanted to proceed on to the Funnicular so Claudia was flexible with our meeting point. Do wear long pants as the lava is sharp – Claudia was prepared for the one scrape that occurred. The 7 yr old commented that she couldn’t wait for “show and tell’ at school to talk about her trip.

This tour feels best suited for families with children, especially those eager for a more personalized, engaging outing that balances education with play. It’s also ideal if you prefer small groups—just two households per tour—so your experience feels intimate and flexible.
