Fun and interesting experience, it was really cool to watch. The people seemed to enjoy what they do.
Kelsy G
Very intimate and unique experience. We both thought it was one of the best things we’ve done while traveling. The venue was perfect.

This was such a fabulous experience. Sarah and her dancing trio, along with the amazing guitar playing by Ricardo, absolutely blew us away. This was the last thing we did on our trip to Granada and it was a perfect send off. So impressed that the dancers can emote so much while doing multiple shows a night, they were amazing to watch and the music was fantastic. I recommend this flamenco house to anyone visiting Granada!!

On the downside, it’s a shorter experience—just about an hour and fifteen minutes—and if you’re expecting a big production, this is more raw and real than polished.

This tour suits travelers who want an authentic cultural encounter rather than a staged show. It’s great for those interested in music, dance, or simply seeking a genuine slice of Granada’s Gypsy roots. If you love to see things up close and personal, and don’t mind walking up a hill or sitting in a cozy cave, then this is a fantastic choice.

This was a fabulous show! The performers were lively and energetic and the venue was charming and cozy. There were three dancers, a singer and a guitar player. The dancers each had a slightly different style, which was entertaining. It was a fun evening.
Samir C
We had a wonderful time. The music and performers were amazing. I wasn’t sure what to expect since it’s in a “cave” but the venue is almost like a little store or restaurant. I would highly recommend it!
Morris S
If you are a newbie to Flamenco then this is a great intro. Ambience, passion, location were all great. The dancers were great! I just wish there was couples dancing too which may be logistically difficult in a small cave – very worthwhile nevertheless!

The cave offers a spectacular view of Granada’s famous landmarks—the Generalife and the Alhambra—adding to the overall experience.

Once inside, you’ll be seated comfortably but close enough to the performers to catch every gesture and facial expression. Unlike large theaters, here you’re part of the performance, rather than just an observer. The lighting is carefully controlled to create an atmospheric glow that highlights the dancers and singers, making it a sensory-rich experience.

The Performance

The show typically lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes. During that time, you’ll witness traditional flamenco singing (cante), guitar playing, and vibrant dance (baile). Reviewers mention how talented and energetic the performers are, with many describing the experience as spellbinding and emotive.

One reviewer noted, “The dancers and guitarist were so energetic and fun to watch,” emphasizing the lively spirit of the performance.

Cheri C
It’s a small group setting, very comfortable, a great show with talented dancers. Enjoyed every minute.
Kristin B
This was a highlight of our trip to Granada! We wanted an authentic flamenco show that didn’t feel performative in a theater or restaurant. It doesn’t get much more authentic than watching the gitano people in a Sacromonte cave. The cave is tight and the chairs are small. We also don’t speak English so we were not able to understand the spoken parts, but it did not take away from the emotion and performances in anyway. We all walked away feeling like we were in the kitchen of a friends house watching the evening of storytelling unfold.

• While booking flamenco in Granada there are plenty of options- but in the end we were glad we chose Cuervo Los Amayos. • This is how they check the list:- 1) Small, cozy venue- unlike commercial flamenco. As locals say flamenco is to be enjoyed without mics in a more in person experience 2) Sacromonte near the gypsy quarters the birthplace of Cantor Jondo in its caves flamenco was born! So more authentic 3) Quality of artists- quite incredible. The energy was mesmerising so was the elegance and beauty! The Duende was indeed very strong • Also the drinks were pretty good Only point of improvement being seating could be improved especially seats and space. It becomes very cramped af…

The performers, many of them members of the Amaya family, have grown up immersed in flamenco. This personal connection makes the experience feel genuine — they perform with passion and pride, and you can tell they love sharing this part of their culture.

The Atmosphere and Setting

The cave environment makes the performance memorable. The natural acoustics and intimate seating mean you’re almost in the middle of the action. Several reviews highlight how close they felt to the dancers, some even mentioning the ability to touch or see the performers’ expressions clearly.

One reviewer commented on how the intimacy allowed them to “see how close you are sitting to them” and how that made the experience particularly special.

The setting also keeps the temperature comfortable, even during hot days. One traveler mentioned being worried about heat, but found the evening feels cool despite daytime temperatures soaring to 40°C.

Cathy M
It was a very nice evening in an intimate setting. The dancers were very emotional and engaging. The venue is a cozy cave where they seat as many people as possible but it was like being in someone's home. Would recommend.
Birgit R
Amazing flamenco experience – intimate cave setting, which makes you feel the skill and passion of the performers! Highly recommended.
Jill M
This was one of my favorite things to do in Spain because it was so unique and different. I loved the intimate space and the passion and power of the dancers. It felt like you were part of something special. It is high up on a hill so if you don’t want to make the trek up, I recommend taking a taxi there and then doing a leisurely stroll down the hill after. It does get warm inside the cave so dress appropriately. We showed up about 15 minutes early and got fantastic seats right in front of the dancers and, wow, being that close was incredible! The show is about an hour long.

Wonderful show. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Difficult to climb the stairs if you have mobility issues.
Phil M
It’s an authentic show in one of the caves in Sacromonte – music and dancing and lots of atmosphere. A few tips: get there early enough to get a decent seat or you may be seated by the door out of the way; our show was only hosted in Spanish not English as the description said ( but we got the gist of it) and don’t expect too much of the free drink! All that being said, a fun, authentic experience that we are glad we did!
Sandra H
The music and dancers were excellent. I gave this rating because it was very cramped and very hot in the cave. There was no room to move. The people sitting next to me were touching knees.

Some minor drawbacks include seating angles — one reviewer mentioned being seated on the same side as the dancers, which meant seeing mostly backs — but overall, these are small considerations. Many mentioned that the passion and talent of the performers made up for any minor issues with the view.
