This is an excellent trip to explore the lavender fields and surrounding areas. Our guide Anthony was fantastic!! He gave interesting facts throughout our ride and made sure we were well taken care of. We visited two lavender fields, a sunflower field, a cool place to learn about lavender, shop local goods and eat lavender ice cream. The lavender ice cream was fantastic, so give it a try. We continued the journey to a gorgeous small town where we could explore the town and climb the rocky stairs toward the convent. We stopped at a gorge to take in the scenery and take pictures, before some time on a beautiful lake to relax and swim if you wished. If you get the opportunity to take this tour,…

We thoroughly enjoyed the full day tour to the lavender fields, Moustiers St. Marie and the Gorges du Verdon. Our guide, Margot was fantastic and gave an excellent commentary throughout the day. We had plenty of free time at all the stops and never felt rushed at all. I'd highly recommend this tour and would absolutely do it again. The whole day was perfect.

It was the most amazing day! I have always dreamed about seeing the fields and our guide had a secret field that had no other people at it and it was incredible!! I would definitely do this again!

However, a couple of considerations are worth mentioning. First, the tour is highly dependent on the blooming stage of lavender, which varies with weather, so timing is everything. Also, the tour’s duration means a pretty full day—long drives and sightseeing can be tiring if you’re not used to that pace.

Still, if you’re a fan of Provence’s landscapes and want a guided experience that hits some of the best spots without the stress, this tour could be a perfect fit.

This experience tends to attract travelers who enjoy scenic drives, cultural insights, and local craftsmanship. It’s well-suited for couples, small groups of friends, or anyone who appreciates a leisurely-paced day exploring charming villages and stunning countryside.

I took this tour with my mom as a belated Mother’s Day gift. Gordon was an incredible guide! He is an excellent driver and had a very calm demeanour. He was also very attentive and accommodating. He took us “off the beaten path” to some more secluded lavender fields and showed us both lavender and lavendin in bloom! He was knowledgeable and provided practical tips also for our trip which was appreciated. Lunch was spent in the beautiful Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, where we chose to split a Moustiers lavender honey crepe and a burger at Lou Roucas (very reasonably priced but definitely busy!) before shopping and enjoying the views of the city. Lastly we headed to Verdon Gorge and then a bea…

This tour is a MUST when visiting Aix-en- Provence. The lavender fields were spectacular! We were able to see 4 different fields for different views/photos of the lavender and the landscape. The little town we visited was beautiful – we had a great lunch and some time for shopping. The Verdon Gorge is gorgeous and we had free time to swim in the lake! Sebastian our tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable about the area and answered any questions we had. We were very comfortable the entire time in a van with AC. This tour was the highlight of our Provence and southern France trip.

We did the Full Day Lavender Tour in Valensole and could not have been more pleased! It was the perfect way to spend the day outside of Aix En Provence and our tour guide Margot with A La Français was absolutely fantastic! We started the day at a small cafe and lavender exhibition and learned about the process of making lavender while enjoying some treats. We then visited several gorgeous fields in the area which we had entirely to ourselves. The afternoon was spent with plenty of time for lunch in a quaint town in the Luberon with another stop by a lake to relax before returning by 6pm. Also the views along the drive are simply stunning! We highly recommend this small group tour.
