If you’re looking for a way to see the raw, untouched beauty of Fuerteventura, this self-drive 4×4 jeep tour might just be what you need. While we haven’t taken this exact trip ourselves, the overwhelming positive reviews and detailed descriptions paint a picture of a genuinely memorable adventure. It’s a chance to step off the beaten path and explore parts of the island most visitors never get to see.
What really attracts us about this experience is driving your own modern Suzuki Jimny and the chance to hunt down those hidden landscapes and secluded beaches. Plus, the seasoned guides seem to elevate the trip with their fun personalities, local knowledge, and great storytelling.
On the downside, it’s a 4-hour experience, which means it’s not a full-day extravaganza—if you’re craving hours of off-road fun, you might find this a bit on the shorter side. But for those who want a balanced mix of adventure and sightseeing, this tour fits nicely into a day’s itinerary.
The tour was great, Olli knows the island, off-roading and is funny. His English is good and he made sure we had a great time. The Jimny's are really comfortable (I don't understand why anyone would want to use a buggy, ever) and capable. We were lucky enough to have a sunset during the tour, which made it even better. Even though most of the tour isn't challenging off-roading, Olli made sure to let us experience the Jimmy's as much as possible, with small little detours. He should get a bonus from Suzuki, because now I want one! The biggest downside to this tour, was that we wanted to do more of it.
amazing we had a great guide defo well worth a go so much fun and great day out we were spoilt as there were only us that booked but was amazing so much fun and great guide he was absolutely lovely x
what a fabulous experience !! the jeep tour was a great way to see a completely different side of the island. Oli was a superb guide, lots of knowledge and pointed out tricky bits of the drive on a walkie talkie. He was funny and really easy going and took loads of fab photos of us with the jeeps, the incredible landscapes and the moon goats !!! would highly recommend and so much more luxurious than a dune buggy, but still as exciting 🙏 Danke zehr, muchas gracias 🐪

Oli the guide was amazing, helpful, humorous, friendly. The tour was a great balance of roads and scenery. The jeeps were clean and great fun to drive.
It was a fun day. Only us and the instructor. Smooth pick up. The jeep ride was amazing. The off the road scenery and the fun of driving 4×4. My husband really like that. The tour was well organized and good value for money. We had a stop on a goat farm for coffee and toilet.
This activity was amazing, the jeeps are all new with aircon, the guide was really friendly and knowledgeable, and the route and scenery was fantastic it was much better value for money than the off road buggy tour we did earlier in the day.
One of the highlights is the off-road driving itself. You’ll relish the feeling of conquering rugged sand and gravel paths, confidently maneuvering your Jimny while soaking in spectacular views. Don’t worry if you’re new to manual transmissions; most reviews note that the vehicles are easy to handle, even for novices.

Throughout the four hours, the tour makes several stops that are carefully planned for their visual appeal and local interest. For instance, Barranco de la Torre offers dramatic scenery, great for photos.
The Salinas del Carmen coast showcases striking salt flats and marine vistas, while Caleta de la Ballena provides a more secluded beach environment—ideal for soaking in the scenery and snapping some pictures.
A particularly charming stop is Pozo Negro, a traditional fishing village, where you can taste local Canarian coffee and experience the laid-back island lifestyle. Reviews consistently mention how these stops add genuine value, transforming a simple off-road drive into a cultural experience.

Great day out driving on some public highways, dirt tracks and even some decent off roading. The Suzukis handled the rough terrain really well and were very easy to drive. Plenty of stops to see some of the sights around the island and a good off road driving experience.
Another favorite is the visit to the archaeological site of Poblado de Atalayita, giving you a glimpse into the island’s pre-Hispanic past. The journey continues through charming villages like Los Alares and Triquivijate, with scenic viewpoints like Barranco de Goroy, home to a bio-farm with camels—an unusual and memorable addition.

Brilliant fun. I've been on the buggy tours before and thought they were fun but dirty and dangerous. The Jiminy handles the terrain much better, you can actually see the island because you're not in a haze of dust AND you don't get filthy. Olle was a FANTASTIC guide. Super friendly, helpful and so funny. He made what was an already great experience a superb one
If you like Alternative, this is a great tour to explore half of the island!
Olli was a great guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the off road jeep experience and visited places we wouldn’t normally have seen. Also had a coffee stop at a goat farm. Would definitely recommend.
Since the tour is private, it feels personalized, and the small group size (just your group and the guide) helps foster a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Pickup and organization are smooth, and you’re given plenty of opportunities to ask questions or take photos.

For many, it surpasses other activities like buggy tours in terms of comfort and scenic variety.

We loved it! The drive had a good speed, not slow and being to careful but being clear and having fun! Some beautiful stops along the way. We were even lucky that it had rained a lot the days before, so we could play with the cars in the mud. The guide had a nice sense of humor. Would recommend for sure!
Excellent activity, thoroughly enjoyed the driving as well as the scenery along the way, would very much recommend to others.
We had an awesome day … the sights, views and experience were exceptional! Olli, our guide totally made the day!
