Heather is an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable about the history of the route and with her humor, quick wit and lovely Scottish accent she's a true delight listening to. We had the misfortune of losing the first two passengers in the course of her career, but she handled it professionally and and with great care. We waited for half an hour, while she made several phocallsefforts to find the couple but to no avail. Eventually she had no choice but leaving, still making sure the couple would be covered if they ever resurfaced. She finished th entire tour for us, despite the delay, with the same energy and humor. Not to leave you on a cliffhanger, the lost couple eventually resurfaced (1.5h af…

We had a fantastic day with our guide Heather. We travelled with a young family and I couldn’t fault it!! Everything from the pick up to the stops were seamless. Heather told us about the history of the places we were visiting and passing and I must say me and the kids enjoyed the Scottish music in between the stop offs very much!! Some very animated songs!! The minibus was comfortable. Plenty of room. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to book a tour. I couldn’t believe how much we’d covered in 1 day!! Thank you for a fab time!!😊

Heather was a brilliant guide. her exceptional knowledge and love of Scotland history and its myths really transpired in her work and made the entire trip for us.

This tour kicks off bright and early from Buchanan Street Bus Station in Glasgow, with a pick-up process that’s straightforward if you arrive 15 minutes before departure. As soon as you’re on the bus, the adventure begins, and we found the journey to be as much a part of the experience as the stops themselves.

The Highland Explorer Tour with Liz was an amazing experience from start to finish. Liz was a fantastic guide, very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Scotland. The tour was well organised and comfortable, with enough time to enjoy the beautiful landscapes, take photos, and explore without feeling rushed. The Scottish Highlands were absolutely breathtaking, and the stories Liz shared made the journey even more interesting and memorable. Overall, it was an authentic and enjoyable tour with Highland Explorer Tours, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Scotland.

We went with Scott. He was a truly knowledgeable guide and gave a great history of the highlands, from stories of the Jqcobites to William Wallace. The highlands are truly beautiful and we would definitely recommend Scott from Highland Explorer tours, Rach and Lewis

The group is small enough to keep it intimate, but not so tiny that you miss out on socializing or engaging with your guide.

The tour lasts roughly 11 hours, which sounds long but is packed with highlights and scenic drives. The price is about $60 per person, which is quite reasonable considering the sights and the fact that it includes a passionate guide and audio guides in multiple languages. It’s a cost-effective way to tick off several major sights without renting a car or planning multiple separate trips.

I had so much fun! It's a long road trip, around 6 hours on the road but the view along the way and Scot explanation for everything that we saw were amazing. It's a small group trip, so it felt exclusive too, even if you're traveling alone don't worry, Scot will help you with pictures too! He's a pro, and also funny. If you're lucky and go on sunny day, it will be one of the best trip!
Valerie
Really appreciated the friendliness of our guide Scott and his playlist of Scottish songs! Furthermore, collecting the tickets for the Loch Ness cruise is super convenient if you purchased the cruise package beforehand!
Michalina
Scott was absolutely amazing! He told us many funny and interesting stories about Scotland, Scottish culture and history and places we’ve visited! The views were spectacular! 100% would recommend for everyone who is visiting Scotland!

It’s also a place with a heavy, haunting history, which your guide will touch on if you’re interested in the stories behind the cliffs.
