Thinking about a day out in nature while visiting Turkey’s beautiful Aegean Coast? This Saklikent Gorge and Gizlikent Waterfall Trek offers a compelling mix of adventure, scenic views, and relaxing moments — perfect for those who want to see a different side of Turkey away from the beaches and historical sites.
What really draws us to this tour are the stunning natural sights — walking through cool waters in Saklikent Gorge and splashing under the Gizlikent Waterfall — and the adrenaline rush of ziplining and rafting. It’s quite a full package for a reasonable price.
The only thing to keep in mind? The day is packed, and some parts can get crowded or require a bit of physical effort, so it’s best suited for active travelers in decent shape.
We had a lovely day out. Had a private driver that was great, they don’t come with you at the attractions though. We paid additional fee for the gorge but it was beautiful and worth it! Then had a nice lunch in a really lovely setting. The walk to the waterfall is about 15 mins and this was lovely although super crowded so couldn’t get to the actual waterfall. We chose rafting of all the activities which was well worth it, really fun and stunning. The driver didn’t rush us at any point and was prompt for all pick ups. For £62 each all that’s actually included is a 40 min return trip and lunch so I’d say it’s slightly over priced but still a really good day out.
The gorge walk and waterfall were part of the package and were great. Paid extra for zip wire and rafting which we also really enjoyed.
We first went to the national park to walk through the gorge. Then we went to an activity centre for lunch. Activity’s you can do include zip line, quad bike, river raft and walks to a waterfall. Really good and highly recommended
This tour works best if you’re after a combination of adventure and nature. If you want a relaxed day, some of the activities might feel rushed, but if you’re up for a mix of fun, scenic views, and a bit of exercise, this could be a highlight of your trip.

Gizlikent Waterfall — A Refreshing Escape
Gizlikent Waterfall is a highlight, especially during hot weather. The walk to the waterfall is a bit crowded at times, but the view is worth it. The waterfall itself provides a relaxing environment, and many visitors enjoy soaking in the cool water or simply taking photos of the lush surroundings.
Saklikent Gorge — Europe’s Second Biggest Canyon
After Gizlikent, the adventure continues at Saklikent Gorge, one of Turkey’s top natural attractions. Walking through the cool, flowing waters of the canyon is a unique experience — you get to go at your own pace, which is a plus, as the gorge can get busy later in the day. The gorge’s impressive, towering cliffs and rushing water make for a dramatic backdrop that’s perfect for photos.
Activities at Saklikent
The tour offers the option to add on rafting and ziplining. Both activities are relatively affordable, around £10 each, and add extra fun to the day. From what travelers have shared, the rafting is often considered better value for money, providing more bang for your buck.
A reviewer noted, “The zipline and rafting was the perfect end to an amazing day out,” highlighting how well these activities complement the natural sights.
The trek was fantastic but we could not get beyond the cave because the rope had been cut so hard to climb up The rafting was brilliant fun too Driver very friendly and helpful
A really good day all round. As well as walking through the gorge which was amazing, we did the zip line and rafting activities at Saklikent. Both were a reasonable price (£10) but the rafting was better value for money. The trek to the Waterfall at Gizlikent was fantastic albeit a bit crowded. Lunch was delicious but be aware that drinks are not included in the price. There was a mix up with our booking and the driver did not show up on the booked day. Despite numerous calls to the local operators number we couldn't get any response. We finally contacted Get My Guide, who immediately responded and sorted out for us to go the following day. Frustrating but all turned out ok in the end
Brilliant trip, our guide ( Volkan) was excellent. We arrived at Gorge before the crowds arrived so we were able to go at our own pace. Lunch was delicious in a beautiful tree house. The zipwire and rafting was the perfect end to an amazing day out.
Lunch and Rest
Following the gorge adventures, a delicious lunch is included — usually served in a picturesque setting, sometimes in a tree house, which adds to the charm. Be aware that drinks are not included in the tour price, so you’ll want to bring some water or purchase drinks locally.
Final Stop: Saklikent Canyon
You’ll spend around 2.5 hours exploring Saklikent Canyon. This is ample time to walk along the trail, take photos, and enjoy the coolness of the environment. Some reviews mention arriving early to beat the crowds, which can be a real plus if you prefer a quieter experience.
