Wonderful tour guides and beautiful views from a kayak.
Nice kayak tour with beautiful views and friendly guides! We can definitely recommend this.
Brilliant guide who took us around the beautiful coastline around Lagos. Scenery really is stunning and the best way to truly experience it has to be via kayaking. You don't have to be an experienced kayaker to be able to manage sea kayaking here and the guide will ensure you remain safe whilst the boat also follows along. The entire trip is 2 hours long but time spent kayaking was probably just over an hour. our only wish would be to have been able to kayak for longer. overall a great trip and would recommend.
The guides’ insights seem to elevate the experience—they help you spot different beaches and explain their origins, making each stop more meaningful. For many, this adds an educational layer that enhances the visual wonder.
Swimming and Sunbathing Breaks
After paddling, you’ll return to the catamaran where you can relax in the sun or jump into the clear blue water for a swim. The boat has a comfortable platform for easy water access, and reviews like Mariana’s mention how much they loved moving through tight spaces and caves, even wishing for more time to relax and enjoy.
The balance between paddling and relaxing means you get a good workout and plenty of downtime to soak up the scenery. Virginia warned that beginners might find paddling a bit stressful, so a little prior practice or calm-water paddling experience can help if you’re new to kayaks.
Additional Comforts and Considerations
The tour includes a safety briefing, kayaking equipment including life vests, and water to stay hydrated. The duration is roughly 135 minutes—just enough time to immerse yourself without feeling rushed. Keep in mind, the meeting point is inside the Lagos Train Station’s BlueFleet Office, and there’s no hotel pickup, so plan your transport accordingly.
So fun! Great guides, beautiful scenery. A must do in Lagos.
Kayaking. Michael and his team is extremely good and friendly. We had great time. Only that it’s too windy and too cold for swimming.
This was an excellent activity! Our guide, Michael, and captain and skipper were all friendly, funny, and engaging. Kayaking around the rocks and caves is the best way to experience the Ponta da Piedade. We felt safe with Michael as our guide and the catamaran following us behind. Our family was able to tandem kayak, one parent with our 7 year old and one parent and 12 year old. Our 14 year old kayaked with our guide! The trip was beautiful and fun! Our group was so strong (with calm morning waters) that we went beyond the designated end point to see more caves beyond the Ponta da Piedade tip. We highly recommend booking this trip with Blue Fleet!
Note that the tour is not suitable for children under 5, pregnant women, or people with certain health or mobility restrictions. Also, the price of $38 per person offers good value considering the combination of boat, kayaking, and guided insights.
