If you’re looking for a taste of the South of France without committing to a full day, this half-day tour from Nice might be just what you need. It promises visits to three of the regionâs most iconic spotsâCannes, Antibes, and Saint Paul de Venceâall packed into around five hours. Whether you’re short on time or just want a gentle overview, this trip offers a convenient way to see some of the best the Riviera has to offer.
What we really like about this tour is how it balances beautiful scenery and cultural highlights with practical convenience. The price of around $76 per person is reasonable considering the scope and the inclusion of hotel pickup and guided commentary. Plus, the possibility of booking a private group adds a layer of flexibility that can make the experience feel more personalized.
Of course, no tour is perfect, and one consideration here is the limited time at each stopâespecially at Saint Paul de Vence, where some reviews mention feeling rushed. The tour’s duration of about five hours is tight, so if you prefer a more leisurely pace, it might feel a bit hurried. Still, for those wanting an efficient snapshot of the region, this tour hits many of the highlights.
Cannes, Antibes & St Paul de Vence Half-Day Tour is the ideal way to experience the unique charm of three stunning locations without any of the stress of planning logistics. Our guide, RaphaĂŤl, was exceptional. From the start, he was incredibly welcoming and created a friendly, relaxed atmosphere for our small group. What really stood out was his engagement; he patiently answered all of our questions. He also had a great sense of humor, making tasteful and funny jokes throughout the day that kept the mood light and enjoyable. The itinerary was perfectly paced.
The amazing walk that Jef took us on through Antibes was great. We saw the village ,markets ,coast line ,had a great coffee and visited an absinthe bar!! A fab visit. The visit to St Paul de Vence was outstanding. All the timing was perfect
Remy was our guide and she was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable giving us a great insight into the places we were visiting. The tour gave us a quick visit to Cannes which in our view could be dropped to give more time in Antibes – the old town was lovely but we needed more time to explore and see the port too. Then we went to St Paul de Vence which was fabulous, full of amazing art galleries, and again more time there would have been great. This was a 4 hr tour but could be 5 hrs to give the extra time as the towns visited were really worth the trip.
This experience suits travelers who want to see a variety of places without the hassle of planning multiple trips, especially if you’re keen to learn from knowledgeable guides and enjoy some of the best views and local flavor along the Riviera.

Starting in Nice: Easy Pickup and Comfort
The tour begins with hotel pickup in Nice, which many travelers find makes the day flow smoothly. Instead of worrying about transport, youâre whisked away in an air-conditioned vehicle, often a Mercedes van, that promises a comfortable ride through the scenic coast.
Cannes: The Glamour Hub
Your first stop is Cannes, the city famous for its film festival and the iconic Croisette promenade. We loved the way the tour offers a walk along the Croisette, where the palm trees, high-end boutiques, and luxury hotels create that unmistakable Riviera vibe. Seeing the Palace of Festivals, with its famous red carpet, is a real highlightâthis is where all the glamour takes center stage during the film festival.
Many reviews highlight the value of having a local guide to share interesting tidbits about Cannes’ history and celebrity culture. One visitor noted, âThe guide was excellent and gave us interesting information all through the tour,â emphasizing how engaging commentary can elevate the experience.
Antibes: Art, Yachts, and Local Flavor
Next, youâll head to Antibes, one of Franceâs oldest towns, founded by Greek merchants. This part of the trip balances historic charm with modern luxuryâthink of yacht marinas, historic buildings, and a bustling Provencal market. The townâs seafront is delightful, with plenty of opportunity for photos and wandering.
The marina at Port Vauban is a big draw, showcasing some seriously impressive yachts. Many reviews mention how the guideâs insights help you appreciate the blend of tradition and wealth on display here. One traveler commented, âThe whole journey is excellent…the driver Sam was a nice guy who helped us a lot.â
an easy going guide allowing flexibility and laughs đ
It was perfect from start to finish, the guide was excellent and gave us interesting information all through the tour, the right amount of time at each location. St Paul de Vence in particular was a highlight. I would highly recommend this tour.
very nice tour, the driver Sam is a nice guy, he gave us lots of help, the whole journey is excellent. Joy
Saint Paul de Vence: Artistic Heritage
Finally, the tour visits Saint Paul de Vence, a medieval hilltop village perched above the Mediterranean. Itâs a well-loved spot for art lovers, with numerous galleries and workshopsâfamous painters like Chagall and Matisse once called it home. This charming town exudes old-world charm, with narrow winding streets and scenic views.
However, some reviews suggest the time allocated here could be tighterâ50 minutes might not be enough to really soak it all in. One comment noted, âStop should be at least 1.5 hours, not 50 minutes,â highlighting that a bit more time would allow for a more relaxed exploration.
Tour Duration and Pacing
The total tour runs around 4.5 to 5 hours, which means itâs quite a compact schedule. The guided commentary is praised for being informative and friendly, making the short stops feel meaningful. But if you prefer a slow, leisurely pace, this might be a little rushed, especially at Saint Paul de Vence.
