Enjoyable hike up the hill to the Griffith observatory. Harder than I thought it would be since the hill is pretty steep. But I was able to keep up & so was my 13-year old son. Took about 2 hours & was about 4 miles. Views were good but it was very foggy that day. You may want to check the weather before booking. Was a small group & our tour guide took good care of us. Bring water. We didn’t bother going into the observatory because it had a long line, the weather was foggy so the telescopes wouldn’t see much & we were exhausted.
We so enjoyed our hike with our guide, Mark, through Griffith Park and to the Observatory. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the park and characters involved. The hike itself was so beautiful and the temperature was perfect. We would not hesitate to do it again when in town.
