It was a beautiful experience, the start of the day was typically rainy and wet, thank you to David who kept checking up on me as we were heading to the summit and I was falling behind the pack. Coming down it was much more lively as the sun came out to play. Overall a memorable experience, bucket list ticked✔️😁

Simon was an excellent guide! He loves what he does and he is knowledgeable and motivating. He is also great to talk to and take your mind off the hard parts! Definitely check the weather- layers, gloves and a hat are key if it's cold and windy! We had a great time- well worth it!

Fantastic
Had the most amazing day with my friend Julie . We had a tour guide , Tom, he was brilliant and made the climb so much fun . He was so informative , telling us the history of the mountain and looking after us . He was equipped with all safety measures and made the climb fun and interesting. If we could take him to every mountain with us we would . He was 5 stars. Such an awesome experience Thanks Tom

Wonderful experience
My partner booked this for my 62nd birthday and what a great experience. Really enjoyed it although I found it a bit challenging as im getting older. Our guide Hywyn from Viator was a legend, cant speak highly enough of him. Not only was he very good as a guide but had a lot of very good information and local stories to tell which I was not expecting but enjoyed. He took a different route on the descent for safety reasons which was great because we saw a different part of the mountain scenery. So guys, if you are going to do this climb make sure you wear the appropriate clothing and footwear as it gets cold towards the top this time of year. And make sure you book through Viator and ask for …

Meeting and Start

You’ll meet your guide at the railway station, a convenient and scenic starting point. Expect friendly introductions and a quick briefing on what to wear and bring. The tour supplies all the necessary gear, but since the weather on the mountain can change quickly, dressing in layers, gloves, and a hat is strongly advised—many reviews have emphasized the importance of warm clothing in windy or chilly conditions.

Route Choices and Customization

One of the standout features of this tour is the ability to choose alternative routes if you book privately. This flexibility can be valuable if you have specific preferences or want a more challenging climb. The guide will assess the group’s fitness and weather conditions to tailor the experience, aiming to make it as enjoyable and safe as possible.

The Ascent

Your guide will lead you along less-frequented paths, avoiding the crowds that can gather on the popular routes. This off-the-beaten-track approach was praised by many reviewers, who appreciated the quieter, more authentic mountain experience. The route’s terrain is demanding—expect some steep sections and uneven ground—so moderate fitness is recommended. Many reviews describe the hike as difficult but satisfying, with the incredible views at the top making every step worth it.

Even in cloudier conditions, many reviewers found the experience inspiring, with the guide sharing entertaining facts and stories along the way.

Descent and Return

After soaking in the views and catching your breath, your guide will lead you back down via the same or an alternate route. Many reviews highlight the importance of good guidance in navigating the descent, especially if the weather worsens or the terrain becomes more challenging. The entire tour wraps up back at the railway station, leaving you with plenty of time to explore Llanberis or continue your Welsh adventure.
