A must do corny Hollywood tour when you’re in the area!! Get there 10 minutes before your scheduled time. Our driver was so funny and excellent at managing the narrow, curvy hill roads!

Jay was fantastic, very knowledgeable. Pretty sunset, but hard to see some sites. It was worth the cost

I don’t know how there are so many rave reviews for this. It was “meh.” Our driver, Disco the Don, was a rather reckless driver and more focused on looking at and pointing out houses, than keeping his eyes on the road. The sights we saw were mediocre. As a tour guide, he had very little knowledge and repeated the same one or two sentences about what we were seeing, and what we were about to see, rather than sharing interesting Hollywood tidbits. He also seemed to play to the lowest common denominator. Showing a photo of the ambulance that took Michael Jackson’s body off the property he was renting at the time of his death, was tasteless. If that’s the highlight of the tour, somethi…

Plus, the chance to spot stars’ homes from the bus adds a fun element of anticipation, even if actual sightings are more about the gates and fences than face-to-face encounters.

One thing to keep in mind: this isn’t a detailed, behind-the-scenes experience — it’s a drive-by style tour meant for quick highlights. If you’re looking for a deep dive into Hollywood’s history or exclusive access, this might not be your best bet. However, if you’re new to LA, tight on time, or simply want an enjoyable overview with plenty of photo opportunities, this tour is worth considering.

This experience generally suits first-time visitors, film buffs, and anyone who wants a relaxed, guided overview of LA’s most famous landmarks without the hassle of driving or navigating large crowds.

Starting Point and Overview

The tour begins at 6609 W Sunset Blvd, a central spot easily accessible near Hollywood’s most iconic streets. From here, the bus heads out into Hollywood and Beverly Hills, giving you a broad sense of LA’s celebrity culture.

Hollywood Sign and Hollywood Hills

One of the most requested stops is the Hollywood Sign. The tour includes a photo stop in the Hollywood Hills, where you get about 10 minutes to snap pics of this globally recognized landmark. While the sign is visible from many vantage points, some reviews mention that the sign is generally seen from a distance, and close-up views are limited.

Hollywood Boulevard Landmarks

A key part of the tour is cruising along Hollywood Boulevard, home to the Walk of Fame with over 2,600 stars, and the legendary Chinese Theatre with its handprints and footprints. The bus is fully narrated, and guides share facts and stories about Hollywood’s golden age, premieres, and famous personalities.

This tour was not as advertised. It stated Hollywood sign photograph opportunity but the bus didn't stop & we had to try to take a quick photo from Mulholland Drive, in between bushes & trees, as we were moving. The sign was miles away & it was near impossible. The drive past Dolby Theatre, Grauman's Chinese & the Walk of Fame, was exactly that, a drive past, amongst the traffic & if you were in the right side & not the left, you couldn't see anything but the person in the seat opposite. We got out at the Beverly Hills sign, uneventful, for a photo, but that was it. The stars home were miles away, down in a canyon or up in a hillside. One person asked about Rodeo Drive & was told we would be…

Awesome tour guide. The weather was not great but our guide was awesome. Going over a holiday left the roads virtually empty so we were able to see so much.

We had a great time! George was our driver and was very entertaining. We got to see the sights and some fantastic real estate in the Hollywood Hills. Who knows if the properties actually belong to celebrities he said but it kept Us engaged. Loved seeing the lily pad lighting by the Beverly Hills sign.

Downtown Los Angeles and The Oscars

Traveling further, you’ll pass by the Dolby Theatre—the home of the Oscars—and other notable buildings like the famous round Hollywood building that played a role in music production. These snippets offer a quick peek into LA’s entertainment hub.

Beverly Hills and Celebrity Homes

Perhaps the most glamorous part of the tour is the drive through Beverly Hills, with views of luxury estates and palm-lined streets. While actual star sightings are not guaranteed, you’ll pass by the homes of stars like Tom Cruise, Taylor Swift, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Some reviews note that the homes are often behind gates, so you mainly see fences and gates rather than the interiors.

Scenic Drives and Views

The tour takes a scenic route along the Santa Monica Mountains, providing sweeping views of Los Angeles’ skyline, the Hollywood Sign, and lush hillside neighborhoods. These vistas are a highlight for many, especially those who appreciate good photo ops.

Rodeo Drive and Downtown Beverly Hills

The tour also includes a look at Rodeo Drive, famous for high-end shopping and luxury boutiques, and the Beverly Hills Hotel, a historic landmark with old Hollywood charm.

Sunset Strip and Nightlife

Some tours venture into the nightlife scene, passing by Sunset Boulevard and its legendary clubs and restaurants. These spots have hosted countless rock legends and celebrities, adding to the mythos of Hollywood’s live-music scene.
