If you’re considering a day trip from Las Vegas to see some of the most iconic sights in Arizona, this Small-Group Grand Canyon Skywalk and Hoover Dam Tour might be just what you need. While we haven’t personally taken this exact trip, the reviews and descriptions paint a pretty compelling picture of a well-organized, immersive experience.
What really catches our eye are the personalized small-group vibe—limiting the tour to just 10 people means fewer crowds and more opportunities for meaningful photos and conversation with your guide. Plus, the mix of stunning scenery, historical insights, and delicious included meals makes it feel like a thoughtfully curated adventure.
That said, a possible bump in the road is the early start—most trips begin around 6 or 6:30 AM, which might be a challenge for some. Also, it’s worth noting that cameras aren’t allowed on the Skywalk due to tribal policies, so you’ll want to rely on your guide for photos there.
Alfonso was an amazing guide. Nothing was too much trouble and he went above and beyond to ensure all of us were happy taking us to so many places. We did many stops during the day all of which were amazing. He was even our personal photographer. He got some great photos for us. We visited the Las Vegas welcome sign, Joshua tree forest, hoover dam both from the ground level just behind the dam and also from the bridge so got great views, then onto Grand Canyon west rim to eagle point and guano point. We stopped for a McDonald’s breakfast and had a picnic lunch supplied. If I come back to vegas I would definitely do this tour again.
I just had the best time on my tour with Alfonso! He was such a fantastic guide, and I can't recommend him enough. If you have the option, definitely request him! We went for the food package, and it was worth it—everything was so good! The trip was truly one of the highlights of my vacation. The views were breathtaking, the people were wonderful, and I loved getting to know their culture. I wholeheartedly recommend the small group Grand Canyon tour! We got some really amazing pictures too!
We had a fantastic day with Alfonso! Straightforward pickup at our hotel, insightful commentary throughout the journey to Hoover Dam and onwards to Grand Canyon. Alfonso took photos at each stop of each group on board and the lunch provided was delicious! A long day (just over 13hrs) but definitely worth it.

Alfonso our tour guide was friendly professional and knowledgable. Small group which made it more personal and fun. Breakfast and lunch provided and lunch was fresh and tasty. We would recommend this tour company. The transport was comfortable and air-conditioned.
Excellent day with fantastic guide, Alfonso. He was full of interesting information and never rushed us. The Grand Canyon was amazing, we had a fantastic day.
Fantastic tour from start to finish. Pick-up at 6:30am in a small group van (only 10 of us) which made it much more relaxed and personal than the big coach tours. First stop was the Las Vegas sign for photos, then breakfast at McDonald’s before heading to the Hoover Dam. Our guide, Darrel, was excellent – loads of knowledge about Vegas, the Dam, and the Grand Canyon, plus he knew all the best photo spots and happily took pictures for us. We also stopped at a Joshua tree reserve before heading to the Grand Canyon and Skywalk. Shuttle to Eagle Point, walked the Skywalk, saw Native American dwellings, and had lunch with stunning views. Smooth drive back to the MGM Grand. A long day but abso…
