When your cruise docks in Livorno, you’ll meet your tour leader at the designated spot — right next to the shuttle bus arrival point, easily accessible and marked by a blue t-shirt. From there, it’s about a 30-minute coach ride through Tuscany’s scenic countryside before reaching Pisa.

Once in Pisa, you’ll take a short walk with your guide into Miracle Square, home to the Leaning Tower, the cathedral, baptistery, and other architectural marvels. The walk through the Santa Maria gate adds a touch of history, as it’s one of the old city entrances, setting the scene for your visit.

Our tour was excellent! Alice did a great job. Great communication from the tour company via WhatsApp. We originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and they communicated a time change for 10:30 a.m. instead. When you book you will get clear instructions on where to meet however the instructions are there prior to booking as well. You board a large air conditioned coach bus in the city center. You do need to purchase tickets for the city bus at the pier which will take you to the city center meeting location. You will do this once you get off the ship. it is an easy process. as soon as you get off the city bus at City center, you will notice several tour companies holding up signs. Be very careful f…

Our guide Alicia, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour included 2 hours free time at Pisa, which was more than sufficient to see the sights and get lunch. The description of the tour could be clearer in explaining that if you don’t buy a ticket for the tower, you only get information during the coach journey and once reaching miracle square your on your own – which is absolutely fine, just could be described better.
Sara
We really enjoyed the time on the tour. It was easy to find the meeting point the transport and information on the bus was clear and informative. Our guide Alice was very friendly and helpful.

The tour was perfect for a family. Alice was organised and we were well looked after. We included the climb the Tower entry which was the highlight of the trip.

Many reviews praise the guides for their expertise and friendliness, which adds to the overall experience. For instance, reviewers have mentioned guides like Sabrina and Alice, who went out of their way to make the day enjoyable, sharing history and local tips along the way.

One common thread in the reviews is how well-organized everything was — from pickup to drop-off, the timing was spot on, and there was clear communication. For travelers with limited time in Tuscany, this kind of smooth operation makes a significant difference.

However, it’s worth noting that the tour doesn’t generally allow for a lengthy stay in Pisa. If you’re craving more time to explore or shop, you might find the schedule somewhat tight. Still, the free time you do get is enough to get a good sense of the city’s charm, take photos of the Tower, and grab a quick bite.

Great opportunity to climb Pisa tower. Our guide dealt with a situation of confused travellers on our coach , as a family of four boarded the wrong coach. Be aware that you cannot bring any form of bags into the tower and the guide will get all your bags of the group, choosing the tower option, in 1 locker before you queue up to get inside Pisa tower. The views from the tower of Pisa are so worth the slippery stair ascent.
Sian
Our guide Arianna was excellent – shared lots of interesting information about the area enroute to Pisa and ensured we made the most of our time there. The transport was comfy and clean and the driver did a great job.
