If you’ve ever been curious about Turin’s darker, more mysterious facets, the Magic Turin Evening Tour offers an intriguing glimpse into the city’s secretive side.
Although we haven’t experienced it personally, reviews suggest it’s a well-loved way to see a different side of this elegant Italian city—especially if you’re a fan of the unusual or enjoy stories of magic and mysticism. For around $40, it promises a mix of history, architecture, and legends, all condensed into just under three hours.
What really appeals to us about this tour are two key points: first, the way it highlights Turin’s contrasting energies, from the sinister allure of black magic to the light of white magic. Second, the guides seem to make all the difference, bringing stories and secrets vividly to life.
It wasn’t exactly what we expected but we enjoyed the tour. We learned interesting things about unique details of the city. It was very nice seeing the city by night. Ilelana (hopefully spelled that right) was a very engaging guide.
We had such a great experience on the Turin night tour! Our guide was absolutely lovely! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to connect with. She shared fascinating stories and details we hadn’t heard on any of our other Turin excursions, which made the tour feel really special. One of the highlights was a quick stop at a charming café where we could grab an espresso (mostly for a bathroom break), which added a nice local touch. If you’re looking for an evening tour that’s both engaging and comfortable, this one is definitely worth it!
There is at least an hour of walking and if you have mobility issues bring a wheelchair. Also we ended up being the ONLY English speaking guests. The rest of the bus had an Italian guide on a speaker headset which was distracting at times. It’s an open air bus so no AC or rain protection
However, one potential consideration is the group size and language barriers—some reviews mention difficulty hearing the guide, especially on the bus or when surrounded by Italian speakers.
This tour is best suited for travelers who love a good ghost story, enjoy exploring cities after dark, or are simply curious about Turin’s hidden legends. It’s also a nice way to experience the city from a different perspective, especially if you’re not a fan of long, history-heavy tours but want a more atmospheric, story-rich outing.

This tour was incredibly informative. Mirella was a wonderful guide, and we learned so much about the mystery and magic of Turin! From the Savoys to Nostradamus…to the freemasons and then some…Such a fascinating city. She also took the time to point out some basic history and special sites we could visit on our own. We are so glad we had this opportunity!
Definitely worth your time in Turin. A great and exciting way to see the city. The guide was wonderful.
Many visitors found this part to be quite engaging; one reviewer called it “incredibly informative,” praising their guide Mirella for her storytelling skills and ability to bring the city’s mysterious past to life.
Next, the tour heads to Piazza Castello, which represents Turin’s “white magic” side. It’s a more luminous, perhaps lighter area, but still infused with legends and stories that make the history of the city feel alive after dark.
The contrast between these two stops seems to be a major highlight—imagine walking through cobblestone streets and open squares, illuminated by the glow of streetlights, with tales of the city’s mystical duality unfolding around you.
What Makes Each Stop Special

Piazza Statuto is often described as the central point for Turin’s black magic stories. Visitors praise the guide’s ability to weave legends into the architecture, statues, and atmosphere. Notably, it’s free to visit—no admission fee, which adds to its appeal. Expect to see historical buildings and perhaps some darker symbols or statues that, according to lore, hold mystical significance.
Our guide was excellent with good keowledge and humour. Walking should Turin at night is very different to the day time so was a good night out.
Donatella led me on a tour where she explained the dark history of the city and the centers of black and white energy. I had an amazing time learning about history and the mysteries surrounding Turin!
My son and his friend did the tour and had a wonderful time. They have fallen in love with Turin and will definitely be back!!
Piazza Castello offers a different vibe, with its connection to white magic. While some reviews mention that the tour doesn’t always match the advertised content—particularly the emphasis on architecture and Masonic symbols—most find the stories engaging enough to justify the visit.
One reviewer commented they learned how signs in the city carry meanings, which could be fun if you like decoding symbols.

What’s Included and What’s Not
The tour includes a local guide who’s praised time and again for their storytelling and friendly demeanor. Unfortunately, there’s no hotel pickup or food and drinks included, so plan to find your own dinner afterward or in advance.
The tour is a mobile ticket, making it flexible and straightforward to join, and its grouping size maxes out at around 50 people, which keeps the experience intimate enough but lively.
Super fun and insightful! We strongly recommend you to take this tour if you’re visiting Turin! Thanks Carla, you’ve been amazing
The places were I was taken and the explanation behind. The guide was well informed and she was very pleasant and caring.
The tour was really a pleasure: the charming places visited and the experience of the guide mixed perfectly
The Experience: Pros and Cons

On the plus side, many travelers love the guide’s knowledge and the atmosphere created by exploring at night. Several reviews mention that the stories about dark energy, symbols, and the city’s secret history are well delivered, making the experience both fun and educational.
The tour’s price point is seen as reasonable for the length and content, especially given the personal attention some get when they’re part of smaller groups or even solo travelers with their own guide.
However, some downsides are worth noting. A few reviews mention difficulty hearing the guide, especially on the bus or when the group is large. One person pointed out that the audio system could be improved with better equipment, which would make the experience more accessible for non-Italian speakers.
Plus, there’s some disappointment among those expecting a more “mysterious tour”—some felt it leaned more toward architecture than actual supernatural stories, though others found the legends fascinating enough.
It was a little difficult to hear and understand the guide in the bus because the english guide was speakningen at the same time as the Italien guide. It was rather confusing! It was better outsider the bus when we did not have to hear the Italian guide at the same time.
It was a good tour and our guide was very friendly and informative … even changed the drop off point to accommodate our Hotel location. The only thing was we were the only 2 English speaking people on the group so we had our own guide while we were walking, but while on the bus the announcements were in Italian and we had a ONE ear bud to our English guide and VERY difficult to hear.. If we had been advise in advance, we would have brought our own TWO ear buds with better sound quality … a little thing, but would have made a world of difference.
It was awesome. Turin is the coolest city. We were in a small Anglophone group of four and our guide was superb. We had radio contact as the main group was Italian-speaking.
Language barriers can also be an issue if you don’t speak Italian—some reviews mention that the English guide was hard to hear over the Italian announcements, especially on the bus. If you’re fluent in Italian or don’t mind a slightly less immersive experience due to sound issues, this might not bother you.
Final Thoughts on the Tour’s Value

Considering the tour’s price, it offers a compact, story-rich experience that brings Turin’s hidden legends to life. It’s not a full-blown history tour, but rather an atmospheric exploration that emphasizes the city’s mystical stories.
If you’re into architecture, legends, or dark history—and if you love wandering through a city at night—this tour is a great way to add some local flavor to your trip.
The fact that many reviewers mention their guides' friendliness, knowledge, and humor highlights the personal touch that makes this experience memorable. Some even say it’s a “great night out,” great for those who prefer stories and ambiance over long sightseeing walks.
