If you’re dreaming of a day spent tasting some of Ontario’s best wines while enjoying scenic views of Niagara’s famous landscape, this public wine tour might be just what you’re looking for. We haven’t done it ourselves, but based on the details and honest reviews, it seems like a reliable way to experience Niagara’s wine scene without the hassle of organizing your own transport or visits.
What really appeals to us about this tour is its affordable price point—just $61 per person for a six-hour experience—and the fact that it includes round-trip transportation from central locations in Niagara Falls, making it a convenient, stress-free day. Plus, visiting three award-winning wineries and a micro-brewhouse sounds like a good mix of wine, beer, and local flavor.
However, a potential downside is that, as a public tour, it might get crowded, and the itinerary can vary depending on the day, which could mean missing out on certain wineries if substitutions are necessary. Also, while the tastings are free, any additional drinks or lunch are extra, so budget accordingly.
Tyler (our guide) was very knowledgeable, polite and funny. The wine and food were great. The schedule went well and we had a good group of people to tour with.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this experience! The wineries all provided great wines and decent portions and having transportation included was greatly appreciated. Our guide was especially amazing. He was very personable, knowledgeable about the Niagara region and the wineries we visited, and a great photographer too!
Amazing, guide was friendly. Great wineries. Great day, will definitely book again.

The Details of the Niagara Wine Tour Experience

This tour, operated by Niagara Fun Tours, promises a six-hour guided journey through some of the most scenic parts of Niagara’s wine country.
Starting from Niagara Falls, the tour picks up at two locations—Fallsview District and Clifton Hill—and then heads to a designated spot off the QEW in Niagara-on-the-Lake. From there, the bus travels along the Niagara Escarpment, offering stunning views of vineyards and Lake Ontario.
What makes this tour appealing is its transportation setup. You don’t need to stress about driving or parking, especially since there are multiple pickup points. The buses are spacious and air-conditioned, making for a comfortable ride, whether you’re part of a larger group or just a small party.
Vieni Estate was by far the best! My friends and I had a great day with Tina and the others on the bus! Due to an accident on the highway our tour was a little delayed so sadly we didn’t get to stop at a fruit stand, but we totally understand that was out of Tina’s control! Thanks again, we look forward to more fun in the future with NFT!
We enjoyed the different wineries we went to. Each winery had 3-4 good sized samples, which was great. Each winery seemed to pay attention to what we already had drank and tried to give us new types to sample. The only downside of the day (which in the grand scheme of the day was nothing), was that when we got on at the first stop there was too many people. We had to squeeze 13 extra people on the bus and then drop off at the tourist centre, where we then had to wait for another bus. Overall, I would definitely recommend to friends and family!
Unforgettable Experience! Highly Recommend! I can’t say enough good things about Niagara Fun Tour from start to finish, the experience was seamless, professional, and absolutely incredible. The booking process was straightforward, and their customer service team was so friendly and helpful, answering all our questions promptly. The tour itself was perfectly organized, with every detail thoughtfully planned. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone in the group felt included and had a great time. The destinations were breathtaking, and we loved the insider tips and hidden …

The Itinerary: What You Actually Do
The stops are designed to give you a well-rounded taste of Niagara’s wine scene. Here’s what you can generally expect:
- Vieni Estates: This Italian-inspired winery sits atop the Niagara escarpment in Vineland. Here, you’ll enjoy multiple wine samples, including their housemade Grappa if you’re interested. Light snacks like cheese and charcuterie are available, making this a good first stop to get your palate ready.
- Cornerstone Winery: When you arrive, you’re greeted by the owners, which is a nice personal touch.
Expect a handful of wine samples in a relaxed setting, with ample time to ask questions and maybe buy a bottle to take home.
- Newark Brewhouse & Grille: This Munich-inspired micro-brewery in Beamsville is a highlight for beer lovers. The group gets to sample several free beers and then enjoy a seated lunch (meals are extra).
The laid-back vibe here breaks up the wine focus with some local brews and hearty food options.
- Legends Estates Winery: This newest addition to the itinerary kicks off with a toast of sparkling wine. The guided tour of their winery and barrel room gives you a glimpse into local winemaking.
Plus, there’s plenty of time to enjoy additional tastings or buy a bottle. They’re known for their house-made Port wine, which gets rave reviews.
It was wonderful! Very fun and informative, and the venues were great.
Great variety of wines on each stop! It was a beautiful experience, the only thing I didn’t like that much was that when we stopped at the brewery they only gave 1 tasting of 1 beer, in the description of the trip it said several tastings so I was a little confused. But apart from that I recommend it 100%
The lunch stop was perfect! Pick up was confusing because pick up was on other side of road so it should indicate in front of hotel not cafe! The air didn’t work so was uncomfortable! The wineries were good!
The Value of the Experience
At $61, this tour offers a decent value considering the transportation, multiple tastings, and guided visits. The fact that you’re visiting award-winning wineries adds credibility and quality to the experience. The opportunity for extra shopping and exploring at each stop means you’re not just consuming but also engaging with the local wine culture.
What the Reviews Say
Most reviews are positive, with many praising the guides, scenic views, and the variety of wines. One reviewer called it “amazing,” highlighting the friendly guide and great wineries. Another mentioned that the day was “great,” and they would book again.
However, not all reviews are perfect. One guest had a less than stellar experience due to a missed pickup and unprofessional service, which underscores the importance of being punctual and confirming details ahead of time. Also, since gratuity isn’t included, a tip for the driver is customary but not mandatory.
More Great Tours NearbyThe Practical Aspects
The pick-up locations are well-placed in Niagara Falls, with clear schedules provided. The tour is flexible, allowing cancellations up to 24 hours in advance, which is handy if your plans change. Keep in mind, alcoholic drinks are not allowed in the vehicle, and food or drinks in the bus aren’t permitted, so plan accordingly.
Details said we would be travelling by coach bus although it was a school bus which was very unexpected. Other then that, Tina was an amazing bus driver and due to our guide not being able to attend, she also took over and was full of energy and really made the trip fun and engaging and a great learning experience. We did not get to go to 4 wineries, only 3 and the 4th place was a whiskey tasting, which I also was not too happy about and wish I would’ve been given more details beforehand. All in all, everyone did have a good time despite these things but I do not think I would go through this company again
Loved that the tour bus driver Tina had so much knowledge and explained things before we went to each of the wineries and would give us her input on the favorites for each winery. Fun day filled with fun, laughter and tastings.
Who Will Love This Tour?

If you’re someone who appreciates good wine and scenic drives, and prefers an easy, organized experience, this tour is a solid choice. It’s especially suitable if you want a budget-friendly option that covers transportation, multiple tastings, and some local flavor.
It’s less ideal if you’re seeking a more exclusive or customizable wine experience, or if you’re traveling with children or non-drinkers, as the tour is strictly for adults over 19. Also, if you’re very particular about which wineries you visit or want to avoid potential substitutions, keep in mind that the stops may vary.
Final Thoughts
