We’ve come across plenty of reviews about this experience, and it seems to hit the sweet spot for those wanting a relaxed, intimate way to see the city’s iconic sights from the water.
What makes this cruise appealing? First, the small yacht means a more personal, less crowded vibe — no giant tourist boats here. Second, the unbeatable views of Manhattan’s skyline and Statue of Liberty as the sun dips is truly something special. However, it’s worth noting that it’s not the cheapest experience out there, and if you’re after a very long or elaborate cruise, this isn’t it.

I loved being able to be outdoors to take in the views and feel the waves. The commentary provided was good to have, but I struggled to hear it. Perhaps it could be louder.

The Itinerary and Sights
The cruise typically takes about 1.5 hours, giving you plenty of time to take in the sights without feeling rushed. Your route includes a pass by the Statue of Liberty, offering fantastic photo opportunities, especially as the sun begins to set. Many travelers mention that the timing of the cruise coincides perfectly with the sunset, illuminating the city in warm, golden hues that are truly breathtaking.
Along the way, you’ll cruise past notable landmarks like Governor’s Island and Ellis Island, catching views of the towering skyscrapers of Lower Manhattan and the Financial District. The boat also glides along the Hudson River, offering views of Hudson River Park and Battery Park.
One aspect many reviews praise is the ability to choose between the open bow or the enclosed glass observatory. The open deck provides fresh air and unobstructed views — perfect for photos or just soaking in the atmosphere — while the glassed-in area keeps you cozy and wind-free, especially if the weather isn’t perfect.
The Atmosphere
The vibe is relaxed and intimate—definitely not a high-energy party boat. You’ll find a quiet, laid-back environment ideal for couples or small groups. With only about 20 passengers reported in some reviews, this is a much more personal experience than large cruise ships.
Drinks and Snacks
Your ticket includes a craft cocktail, beer, wine, champagne, or a non-alcoholic beverage, plus a small serving of light tapas. Reviewers often mention the good quality of the drinks and the friendly service from the crew. Some note that additional beverages are available for purchase, which adds to the feeling of a boutique experience.
August 26th 2025 Great staff, lovely boat (Kingston), boats Captain gave a comprehensive commentary at points of interest. We moved down Hudson river around the bottom of Manhattan and up the East river to Brooklyn bridge. From here we moved down passing Governors Island towards Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty which we stayed for photo opps and then moved back up the Hudson passing Ellis Island, Colgate clock and redocking at Pier 62 to finish. Beers and food provided however you pay for drinks after first one which is fine if you want to drink more, Lots of places to take photos. About 1 and half hours or so but well worth it. The Captain and host were brilliant. Great little trip …
