If you’re considering a trip to Croatia’s famous Plitvice Lakes National Park, a guided day tour from Rijeka might be just the ticket. While we haven’t done this particular trip ourselves, reviews and detailed descriptions paint a pretty appealing picture. This tour offers a well-structured way to see one of Croatia’s most breathtaking natural sites without the hassle of planning every detail on your own.

What we love about this experience? First, the convenience of door-to-door transportation, which takes away any stress about navigating unfamiliar roads. Second, the guided insight that enriches the walk, making the natural beauty even more meaningful. However, a potential consideration is the long travel time — around 2.5 hours each way — which might reduce your time in the park for some.

This tour seems best suited for travelers who want a safe, straightforward way to enjoy Plitvice Lakes without the need to organize transportation and tickets themselves.

Our guide was Maja. She sended a WhatsApp the day before about the instructions of meeting. What I like. The day starts very early it’s on 7:20 in the morning. Maja picks you up with a minivan its max for 7 person + 1 driver (Maja). It’s a route of 2h max 2,5 hour you pass by the Nikola Tesla s home town and another beautiful towns! Maja was a very social person and she tells a lot of story’s. When you arrived Maja tell you the route you should best take because there is not that much time 4,5h max 5h and you can be very late back in town if you don’t come on time. I didn’t really listened to Maja and change the route little bit. And that was reason that was little bit late. I send…

Honestly, this was the most magical day, other than the crazy heatwave but it didn’t really take away from how beautiful this was! Our tour guide, maja, was just wonderful, she was so super lovely and friendly, knowledgeable, clearly loved doing this for a job and offered anything and everything we could think of: stops on the long drive there for toilet and food, information on the areas as we drove in, facts, she showed us the maps and advised on different routes for the park, overall maja was super lovely and funny, thank you! The park itself was utterly stunning. I was emotional walking around because of how beautiful it was. Nature truly is wonderful and even the layout of the walkway…
