If you’re looking to enjoy the beauty of Sardinia from the water, a private catamaran tour through the Maddalena Archipelago might just be your perfect escape. While we haven’t personally boarded this exact tour, reviews and detailed descriptions suggest it offers an intimate, flexible way to experience some of the most beautiful islands in Italy. Think turquoise waters, secluded beaches, and a leisurely pace tailored to your group.
What we love about this experience is how it combines customized sightseeing with the chance to relax and indulge in Sardinian flavors. The boat is private, so you won’t be stuck in a crowd, and everything from snorkeling gear to a delicious onboard lunch is included, which means no fuss, just fun.
One thing to keep in mind is that the price per group may seem steep at over $2,000, but considering it’s a full-day, all-inclusive experience for up to 12 people, it offers quite a bit of value.

The Highlights and Stops
Spiaggia Rosa (Pink Beach)
This is arguably one of the most Instagram-worthy spots in the world. Famous for its unique pink-hued sands, Spiaggia Rosa is a must-see. Access is free, but due to its protected status, you’ll be visiting from the water, admiring it as a spectacular external view. It’s a quick stop, just about 15 minutes, but enough to snap some photos of what many consider one of nature’s wonders.
Isola di Spargi
If the weather permits, you’ll hop over to Spargi Island, a favorite for its vivid turquoise waters and untouched beaches. Reviewers frequently mention how the wild beauty of Spargi stays with you long after the trip ends.
Cala Santa Maria
This part of the tour is a longer stop, around two hours, at the coves of Santa Maria. The waters here are famous for their amazing color palette—a mix of turquoise and emerald that’s perfect for photos or just soaking in with a good book. The calmness of these waters makes swimming and snorkeling especially enjoyable, with gear provided for your convenience.
Everything about this experience was perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed our skippers and their knowledge of the area. The food was delicious, the catamaran is beautiful, and the water is stunning. I can’t wait to book with them again! Best afternoon ever! Thanks so much for the experience!
This was the highlight of our 7 day stay in Porto Cervo! Capitan Roberto together with first mates Alberto and Federico were absolutely entertaining and gracious at all times. Food and drinks were great and the sailing even better! Thanks Guys!! Brock, Bonnie, Julian & Chanel
We had a great experience on this catamaran. My wife, myself, and another couple rented the vessel for the day. The crew was fantastic and all the food was very very good. Bruschetta and charcuterie apertiv, pasta lunch, wine and other soft drinks throughout the day. The archepelago itself was beautiful. We made about 4 stops and swam at 3 of them. Both my wife and our friend was pregnant and the conditions were very stable.
The Maddalena Archipelago and the Pools
The final major segment takes you through the most iconic areas of the archipelago, including the Pools—an area of calm, transparent waters between the islands of Budelli, Santa Maria, and Razzoli. This spot is celebrated for its wild, pristine environment, and many who’ve been here describe it as a scene straight out of a postcard. The review comments about the "colors and wild nature" capture the essence of what makes this part of the trip memorable.

There’s also a Sardinian aperitif with typical products, and at the end, you can enjoy Sardinian sweets and myrtle liqueur. Several reviews mention how delicious and well-presented the food is, making the day not just scenic but also tasteful.
