If you’re after a day full of adventure, incredible scenery, and relaxing hot springs while visiting Reykjavik, this tour might just be your kind of trip. It combines the thrill of snowmobiling across one of Europe’s largest glaciers with a soothing dip in a natural hot spring, all wrapped up in a well-organized 10-hour package.
What makes this experience especially appealing is the chance to see some of Iceland’s most iconic landscapes—think vast, snow-covered glaciers and geyser hot springs—while guided by knowledgeable locals. Plus, the convenience of hotel pickup and drop-off means you can focus on enjoying the day rather than stressing over logistics.
One thing to consider: the day involves a fair bit of driving on snowy terrain, which might not be ideal if you’re prone to motion sickness or prefer a more relaxed pace. This tour also requires participants to be at least 18 years old, with a valid driver’s license needed to operate the snowmobile.
What an experience ! Thanks to our amazing driver Yngvi & his CRAZY FORD F350 customized for Icelandic adventures. It was a refreshing journey on the glacier aboard a snowmobile. The stop at the geothermal bath came at just the right time !
We spent the day with our guide Eric. From start to finish the day was INCREDIBLE!! Eric went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic day. We had stops on the way to the glacier to see the waterfalls and grab some snacks. The snowmobiles were even better than we imagined they would be, it’s not something you could ever describe it needs to be experienced! We then went for lunch and then heading to the hot springs which again was an amazing experience. Absolutely made our trip and can’t wait to go back to explore more!
Absolutely FANTASTIC loved every minute our driver Einar was funny, kind and gave us lots of great information and even came back to lick me up as there was a mix up with pick up time. The journey was great and nicely split up, the transport was very comfy and the time went quickly with Einar’s commentary and the views. The snowmobiling was AWESOME I’m almost 60 and went on my own I was a bit apprehensive but Lucas gave great simple visual instructions and he rode alongside the group which was very comforting and gave me confidence. Had so much fun at the top with Raymond and Lucas throwing snowballs chatting and they were happy to take lots of photos and were interested in where we were…
Overall, it’s best suited for travelers who love outdoor adventures, are comfortable with winter conditions, and want a full, immersive day exploring Iceland’s natural wonders.
