If you’re considering a sea kayak adventure in Naxos, this tour might just catch your eye. It promises a full day of exploring stunning coastline, visiting caves, snorkeling in clear waters, and enjoying a homemade picnic — all in a small-group setting.

We haven’t done it ourselves, but from what travelers love, it seems like a solid choice for those who love outdoor activities and want a more intimate experience away from crowded tourist spots.

Two things we particularly appreciate about this tour are the guides — who are praised for their friendliness and expertise — and the focus on authentic local food during the picnic. It’s clear that a lot of effort goes into creating a memorable, personalized experience.

Manolis and his family provided a safe and exciting experience exploring several caves and beaches. Lunch was provided with fresh food from the island. One of the highlights of our honeymoon.

This was absolutely the highlight of our trip to Naxos. From Christina’s warm welcome when she picked us up, all the facts and lore Manos shared with us while riding to the launch point and while kayaking, to the incredible views and fun while kayaking, we made so many incredible memories. The snacks and picnic were traditional and delicious. Jumping from rocks at the waters edge and from the top of Rina Cave was exhilarating. The waters were stunning. Our guides (Manos and guide Christina) were perfect hosts. We are middle aged and reasonably fit and this was a very doable trip, even with a little wind. We would definitely do this trip again! Very very highly recommend.

It was the highlight of our trip to Greece. We would do it again in a second. Experiencing beautiful pristine locations under the care of knowledgeable and caring guides aded up to a memorable day on the waters of the Aegean. The company provided everything we needed and things we didn’t even think of, enough guidance was provided so that even beginner kayackers could paddle with confidence. The lunch was amazing, fresh, local, we felt special. The guides were kind, caring, skilled, and very protective of the beautiful places we visited. We highly recommend this experience.

One potential drawback? The tour lasts about seven hours, which might be a long day for some, especially if you’re not used to paddling or being on the water for extended periods.

This experience best suits travelers who enjoy outdoor adventures, scenic views, and a relaxed pace. It’s ideal if you’re comfortable with water activities, want to see some of Naxos’ less crowded beaches, and you’re okay with a full day out.

I enjoyed getting to know Naxos through the kayak excursion. I love kayaking but this was my first time kayaking on the sea and the first time using a rudder. Christina and Manolis are excellent instructors and they are very patient and kind. They were attentive to the safety of the group and to our enjoyment of the trip. They even put up a canopy so we could enjoy some shade as we ate our delicious lunch on the beach. I felt the whole excursion was planned with great care. The scenery was lovely. I also enjoyed learning some things from our guides about the local geography, history, nature, and their culture. I appreciate their philosophy of “Leave no trace, take only memories.” This wa…

WOW what a great experience, if I could rate them a 10 I would. Manolis and Christina definitely know how to make a trip you wont forget. They provide ALL the necessary items, full brim hats, swim shirts, shoes, dry bags, tip notch boats and gear. The snack and then lunch was great, the history of the islands was interesting and the scenery and water was magnificent. They are very professional and safety is number one. They make everyone feel welcome, the pace is good and the breaks are timed well. Plan for a full day on the water, bring suntan lotion and you will leave with a smile. Don’t be fouled by trips of lower cost….most can be just a kayaking trip to Reina Caves and back….your…

This was an outstanding excursion. Our guides, Manios and Christina, were friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. They help you every step of the way, making both novice and experienced paddlers feel comfortable. They set a pace that worked well with all the guests, spending time visiting with each of us. They provided an excellent lunch and plenty of water.

Rhina Cave and Pristine Bay

The highlight for many is Rhina Cave, located in a beautiful bay with remarkably clear water. The cave itself is a natural marvel, with stalactites on the roof and bird nests nearby, making it a fascinating stop. The adjacent spring provides a cool, refreshing water source, which can serve as a perfect break from paddling.

The cave is included in the tour, and reviewers consistently mention how unique and photogenic this stop is— a highlight of the day.

Beach Breaks and Snorkeling

Can’t say enough great things about this tour! Christina was great at communicating with us ahead of the tour and even arranged us a ride to the boat/kayak launch across the island! The day was well planned, perfect for all ages and abilities and provided beautiful scenery for us! Lunch was so delicious under a cool tent! Adventures awaited us on every stop! Snorkeling , cliff jumping, climbing the hills to see new beaches even! The tour was well paced and fun! It was great meeting new people from all over the world and enjoying this journey together! Every detail thought out- we were even given hats, water shoes, SPF shirts to protect our skin and life vests of course! If that’s not eno…

This was such an amazing experience! The company is owned and run by the sweetest Greek family. The trip itself was so well planned; they literally thought of everything, providing plenty of water, snacks, and a beautiful fresh spread of food for lunch, capped off by fresh-brewed coffee (on the beach). The guides (Christina, Noah, and Manolis) were all so kind and wonderful teachers. We opted for the transfer and were treated to wonderful conversation and teaching of Naxos history by Manolis and Christina. Manolis has a crazy list of experience. He knows what he is doing, and he keeps people safe, while allowing them to experience some of Naxos by kayaking. I recommend this experience ma…

This was, hands-down, the best excursion I was on during my five-day stay in Naxos (including the hiking and catamaran excursion). It is doable even for a grandma, like me! Manolis was very knowledgeable, friendly, did a great job of showing us around, along with his two guides, Christina and Noah, took some amazing photos of all of us during the excursion so we could focus on the experience, and fed us well (their Naxion salad was as better than any I had in town!). His wife, Christina (not the tour guide Christina – another Christina) picked me up and returned me to my hotel for far less than any other price I was given. When I come back, I will do this again!

Reviewers mention that the food is plentiful, with extras like cheeses and bread appearing upon request. This kind of personalized touch makes the day feel even more special.

Return and Final Swim

As the afternoon winds down, you’ll paddle back to your starting point, often with time for a last swim or photo session. The entire trip lasts about five hours of paddling and beach time, with the remaining hours filled with transportation, preparation, and relaxing.

The Equipment and Guides

The tour provides all necessary kayaking gear—tandem or single kayaks, paddles, life jackets, spray decks, dry bags, and UV-protection clothing. This means you don’t need to worry about bringing your own equipment unless you prefer to. The guides are certified by British Canoeing, which adds a layer of safety and professionalism.

Guests love the guides, particularly how helpful and friendly they are. One review mentions, “Manolis (our guide) was the best guide we’ve ever had,” highlighting how a guide can elevate the experience. They teach paddling techniques, help with handling the kayaks, and adapt to changing weather conditions, making sure everyone feels comfortable.

A really memorable day. Beautiful location, amazing and knowledgeable guides, and such a delicious lunch. Would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors in Naxos.

Excellent guides – highly recommend! Cannot say enough positive about Manoli, the Christinas, and Noah. Wind forced a cancellation of Rina sea caves – but guides looked at the weather and determined we could do a shorter trip the next day before winds picked up. We have 2 teens and another family with 3 younger kids booked – the Sea Kayak Naxos group was the best! Very safety conscious, informative, and helpful. Had a great, fun adventure and highly recommend this group! Do check them out!!

Absolutely amazing experience and you don’t have to be a professional kayaker to partake! Manioulis and Christina R, extremely knowledgeable and walk you through every step to make you feel secure on the adventure you are about to partake. They are quite gracious and funny! Snacks were delicious fresh fruit and traditional sesame snacks that were amazing! Lunch was fresh salad, local cheese, homemade bread, local olives/capers and some cookies for dessert. He even offered coffee! I can’t rave enough about this tour! If you are even hesitating, don’t! Do it! It’s amazing!

I cannot stress enough how amazing this experience was. Manolis (our guide) was the best guide we have ever had on any trip. He gave a thorough explanation of how to kayak, and his wonderful warm personality helped to create a friendship with our group of 6 people. The trip was filled with breathtaking views that can only be seen on this tour and the most delicious fresh meals made by Manolis himself as we pulled ashore to a secluded spot to enjoy hiking, swimming, cliff diving, or just relaxing. I will never forget this trip, and I will recommend it to anyone who wants a small group experience with the best tour guide ever.
