We really appreciate how this tour balances traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation. The chance to compare a classic Saint-Émilion estate with a contemporary winery is especially interesting, and the gorgeous scenery around Saint-Émilion makes the experience even more memorable.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is a fairly quick overview—if you’re after a deep dive into winemaking or a full day in the vineyards, you might want to look at longer or more involved options.
we had great time visiting! 5 min taxi drive from saint emilion, and approx. 30 min walking back through wine yards. we were happy with the weather end everything went well. our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. thank you for this nice moment!
The tour was excellent! The English speaking guide we had was really good and knowledgeable. Wine we tasted was good so we bought one for us to take home. Only one thing – it was difficult to find the place and we got lost – some sign post at the corner we need to turn or something could help us as we went one street further with sat nav on iPhone first… when another iPhone had exactly the same address, we got the right direction to the winery. That was the only downside but the the winery, the tour, the view and everything else was spot on! Thank you!
Sarah, our Wine Guide was very informative and she led us thru the wine making process and history of both Wineries/labels Baladoz and La Croizille while walking around the winery/visiting the cellar. We were the only 2 guests at agreed time, but tour still went ahead in English. We tasted 3 different labels and wines were very well made indeed. In their shop area they offer many wine accessories and good selection of wine labels which you can purchase on the spot. Would strongly recommend.
This experience is great for those on a tight schedule who want a taste of Bordeaux’s wine culture without a huge commitment. It’s suited for curious travelers who love beautiful scenery, good wine, and engaging guides. Keep in mind it’s a walking tour with no hotel pickup, so plan to meet at the designated spot.
Overall, if you enjoy learning about wine and appreciate stunning surroundings, this tour could be a lovely highlight of your trip.

Getting to the Chaute was not easy, we were foingvaeound for 20 mins. barely made it. butball good! Sara was very good explaining the process of how wine is done. She was great!!! A++ The experience was the best so far for us, down three already. qualify wise was just perfect. will do ir again if it was another winnert and Sara was conducting it!!
Easy parking outside the meeting point. The guide was friendly with great English. We had a 30-60 min tour through the old style and new style wineries, with great views across the valley. The tour guide obviously knew a lot about the industry and was able to answer any questions we had. Finished with tasting of 3 wines. We saw some other people doing slightly more involved tours with charcuterie boards, so it seems this tour is the entry level one, more than enough for the experience.
Our guide Sara was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions patiently and clearly. She was very sweet and spoke great english so she was easy to understand for us Americans. It ended up being a private tour since others did not show up but Sara cheerfully conducted the tour anyways. It was very informative and demonstrated the contrast between traditional and modern winemaking and styles. Beautiful grounds and facilities. We would highly recommend the tour.
