A Detailed Look at the San Francisco Ghosts Boos and Booze Haunted Pub Crawl

If you’re curious about San Francisco’s darker corners but also want to enjoy some good drinks and fun stories, the San Francisco Ghosts Boos and Booze Haunted Pub Crawl might just be your cup of tea. This tour blends a stroll through some of the city’s oldest bars with tales of spirits—both historical and paranormal—that have haunted the city’s past for generations.
From what we’ve seen, it’s a well-rated experience, with a perfect 5-star rating from 25 reviews. What really catches our eye is how this combines entertaining storytelling with a relaxed pub crawl, making it a different way to explore San Francisco’s haunted history with a smaller group.
Great experience with Ben! It was just the two of us because the others didn't show up, and even though it was on a Sunday, it was great!
Our guide Ben gave a lot of history to the city! He told cool and engaging stories. I wish this happened later in the night though, we started pretty early and it only lasted a few hours.
Taylor was a wonderful guide. The only issue would be that several in this group arrived early to have a drink at first bar only to find out it was closed. Since it was a Sunday, two of the bars were closed so we had alternate bars to go to. It would’ve been nice to be able to go in those that were closed since they had good ghost stories.
However, a possible consideration is that no actual ghost sightings are guaranteed. It’s more about the stories and atmosphere, which can be just as compelling. This tour is best suited for adults who enjoy a mix of history, storytelling, and socializing, especially if you like a good drink and are curious about the spooky side of the city.

Great experience. No bad things to say about our experience. Guide was knowledgeable and was interesting.
Our guide Mark was super kind, easy going, knowledgeable and very patient. Enjoyed all the tales and historic facts he shared with us, including the card tricks. His dog the ghost hunter Oakley made the experience so much more fun, we loved him. Also, we really enjoyed the different bars we went to, very cool atmosphere.
