The moment we stepped onto the catamaran, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality from the incredible crew, George, Georgia, and Isidora, who went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. We explored beautiful parts of the island, swam in crystal waters, and after a day of adventure, we enjoyed a delicious meal prepared on board, followed by dessert and music as we watched the most magical sunset, the perfect ending to a perfect day. Truly unforgettable!

What a fantastic trip. The staff were lovely and made everything run smoothly. The drinks were chilled and the food was delicious. The stops for swimming were awesome.

What immediately appeals to us about this experience are two things: first, the small-group vibe, which tends to mean more personalized service and less crowded chaos; and second, the chance to witness a sunset over the caldera, one of Greece’s most iconic sights. However, it’s worth noting that waves can sometimes get a bit bumpy, so if you’re prone to seasickness, pack accordingly.

This cruise is well-suited for those who love a laid-back, scenic day out with good food and a bit of adventure—great for couples, small groups, or even travelers who want to see some of Santorini’s hidden corners.

The First Stop: Thirassia Island

Not even a mile from the Oia coast, Thirassia presents a slower, almost timeless vibe. The reviews suggest that this stop is a real highlight because it allows for swimming and snorkeling in calm turquoise waters—great for cooling off after some sun.

Amazing experience the staff on the boat were super attentive Food was amazing Stunning views 100% recommend
Kevin C
Incredible sunset views and service from the crew. Selected this cruise over the many other options due to it being an hour longer than most and leaves from the port near Oia. Waves can get a bit bumpy but we didn’t mind. BBQ dinner was great Greek cuisine. Book it!!

We have done several cruises/sails in our travels and specifically during this trip we did one in Milos and Paros. This was our least favorite. Let’s start with the great! The food! Top notch and was the highlight. The good, they pick you up and bring you back to your hotel/airbnb. The not so good, almost terrible. The atmosphere was not fun. The crew from the get go, while efficient, seemed to be in a bad mood and not overly friendly. They asked a couple times throughout our 6 hour cruise if we wanted anything to drink, otherwise we’d ask (and of course they were happy to get). They didn’t talk to anyone and if we tried talking to them would give a curt reply and leave. The music was …

One guest mentioned that the water is almost always calm, which makes it a great place for beginners or travelers wary of choppy seas. This stop lasts around 20 minutes, giving enough time to dip your toes in and snap some photos of the quiet village.

The Volcano: Nea Kameni

Next up is the volcanic island of Nea Kameni, famous for its black lava rocks and sulfur deposits. Many travelers find this part fascinating because it offers a glimpse into the island’s fiery origins. Floating in the sulfur-rich waters seems to be a memorable experience—some reviews note that the salt content is high enough to make floating easy.

Seeing the volcano’s landscape up close adds a layer of depth to your trip, especially if you’re interested in geology or volcanic history.

Mesmerizing Beaches: Mesa Pigadia, Red Beach, and White Beach

The cruise then takes you along the coast to several beaches accessible only by boat, which is part of what makes this experience stand out. Mesa Pigadia is a secluded, black pebble beach with clear waters—ideal for a quick swim.

The White Beach, with its striking white cliffs, offers another photo-worthy landscape, although you might find that the lack of amenities makes it more of a quick look than a long stay.

The Red Beach, however, seems to be the star for many guests. Its vivid red cliffs are a product of volcanic activity, and snorkeling here allows for a close look at the mineral-rich rocks and the turquoise waters. One guest described it as the perfect display of what volcanic eruption created—an impressive natural sculpture.

Plus, during this stop, the crew prepares a Greek barbecue that is often praised for its quality—think fresh fish or chicken souvlaki, with vegetarian options, served with salads and appetizers.

The Old Port & Final Stops

Before heading back, you'll visit the oldest port of Santorini, which adds a historical flavor to the day. Many reviews highlight the crew’s knowledge about the island, making these moments both scenic and educational. The last stop before sunset is a chance to take in the views and perhaps get some last-minute photos.

Sunset and Wrap-up

The highlight for many visitors is the sunset. Watching the sun dip behind the caldera from the vantage point of the sea creates a magical setting. Guests often describe the sunset as "spectacular" and the experience as relaxing and romantic. The crew’s attentive service, combined with the stunning scenery, makes this a memorable closing to your day.

Food, Drinks, and Value

Santorini Oia: Caldera Luxury Sunset Cruise with BBQ & Drinks - Food, Drinks, and Value

The included Greek barbecue is a significant plus. Based on reviews, the quality of the food exceeds expectations—fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. Guests love the dinners, often citing it as a highlight. The unlimited drinks—local dry white wine, beers, soft drinks, and water—add to the relaxed, festive atmosphere.

It’s a good value considering the price, especially since you’re paying for a full 6-hour experience with all the stops, meals, and drinks included.

What the Reviews Say

While most reviews are glowing, one guest described this cruise as their least favorite among several they tried. They praised the food but felt the overall experience didn’t quite match their expectations.

However, the majority consistently mention the friendly crew, the scenic beauty, and the high-quality meal as reasons they’d recommend it. People also appreciate that waves can get bumpy, so packing seasickness remedies might be wise.
